-Get help -Steve had told him -Get Hopper, or Joyce, get the whole group, call the army, the marines, SHIELD, the baddest guy you see in Hawkins, but get help

And Dustin had put a lot of effort into it, he certainly had, but getting out of there with Lucas' sister Erica nagging him all the time hadn't been easy, it had taken longer than expected and, at one point, they gave up. There was no way to surface, well, yes, but by then Steve and Robin would be Russian mush, they had to do something now.

-In the elevator there was a phone, wasn't there?

-I think so, but it's probably guarded, it's obvious we went in that way

-Let's go check it out

They slipped through the air installation, Erica more easily than Dustin, but they reached the elevator, which was indeed guarded, but only from the outside, the doors were closed and if they did it carefully no one would notice. First Erica, who helped Dustin pulling him with all her strength, they were about to fall but managed to keep their balance at the last moment, Dustin rummaged in his pockets, he always carried a small sheet with phone numbers written down for emergencies.

-All right, who do we call?

-The fire department?

-Yes, of course -the girl whispered -Those five stunned against the entire Russian army

Dustin thought quickly, looking at all the numbers.

-Let's do what Steve said, let's warn Hopper, I'm sure he can bring the whole army if we need to, or the crazies who were experimenting in the lab, someone will come

Dustin dialed the police station, but no one was there, normal, it was the 4th of July; he then dialed the cabin but they didn't pick up; he dialed Will's house in case everyone was there, but no one picked up either; in desperation he hit the phone hard, which earned him a zap from Erica, they both looked at the door, it seemed they hadn't noticed.

-And who do we call now?

The boy looked at the sheet again going over each number and eliminating them for obvious reasons, then he fell on one, he looked at his watch calculating if he would still be there or it would be better to call home, of course calling home was risky and highly inadvisable, luckily his watch said he should still be there, picking up to close, his fingers dialed quickly.

-It's closed -he heard on the other end-No, no, it's Dustin, hold on

They hit him once again, he didn't understand why they didn't believe him, he knew that maybe it would sound strange that some teenagers could sneak into a secret Russian military base, but really, what spy would dress up in a sailor suit? Okay, on second thought, disguising himself as a mall clerk would make the most sense, but a spy would have chosen another store, another uniform that would allow him.... him to, you know.... carry five hundred guns in his pockets, for example. That guy hit him again, Steve was sure he would faint at that point, and he was not wrong, they took him by the arms and dragged him through the corridors to a room, when he opened it Robin was there, the girl looked worried and very angry, she insulted and hit the soldiers but they reduced her, they took two chairs and sat them with their backs to each other, tying them tightly.
