The Winx Club peeled potatoes and stirred the soup. All were doing their respective tasks for the night. The kitchen is large for a regular school with several ovens and sinks.
"Honestly, for a school for fairies, we don't do a lot of magic," Korra complained. She finished pulling with one potato and threw them in the water bowl to soak. "I mean, what's the point of doing basic chores?"
Kaiyo stirred the soup and took a small taste. She hummed and added more salt. "Well, Korra does have a point. I always thought that in Alfea, we would do, well, magical stuff." She wiggled her hand, using some of her magic for emphasis.
"My hands are aching ," Wan grumbled as he picked up the dirty dishes and placed them in the hot soapy water. "Couldn't the dorm next to us do the work?"
"When I graduate, I am never eating at home. I'm just going to eat out." Musa sighed, still peeling potatoes next to Korra.
Flora gasped as she realized the pie she was working on had been in the oven for too long. She ran over, grabbed mittens, and opened the oven. The smoke bombarded the Winx Club noses, and Flora coughed too. She sets down the burnt pie on top of the stove.
Wan glanced over, seeing the black crust of the peach pie burnt to a cinder.
"It's not that bad," Wan said.
"Wan, why are you lying?" Kaiyo responded, looking at the pie as well. "Look at it." Her hand pointed at the pie. "Like, it looks...."
"Like what?" Wan answered back with a sarcastic tone.
Flora blushed, "Guys, it's not that serious. I know the pie is burnt." She waved her hands. "I'll just make a new one."
A punchy man entered the kitchen, opening both doors, wearing a white chef hat. "Now, let's see how you teenagers are doing." His voice is thick with an Italian accent. He looks at the potatoes Korra, Musa, and Bloom are peeling. "Too thick, peel the skin more." Korra poked her lips out, pouting. The big man stared at Flora's pie. She giggled while rubbing the back of her neck. "What is this? It's completely burnt!"
"Sorry, I'll make another one. I lost track of time."
"I see that. Use a timer next time. Overall, keep working on it." As soon as the chief walked out, Stella barged in with a white paper. "Guys! have some wild news!"
"We know. You've managed to get out of kitchen duties. Congratulations, Stella." Tecna said rather matter of factly with a hint of sarcasm.
"Oh, but I've got a perfectly valid reason for that, you know! I'm going out tonight! I've got a date! Isn't that exciting?"
"Oh, how valid , a date, " Wan sighed while stirring the soup. Stella just left them while they did all the work. To be frank, he wasn't even interested in hearing girl talk. Well, that came with being the only male in the entire dorm. The school had male students, but they were in a dorm together. He just so happened to be with Korra because, well, he was the Dual Avatar.
"I've received an invitation! Guess who from?! Oh, whatever, it's Prince Sky! Can you believe it?! An invitation to Black Lagoon! Sounds good, huh?" The Princess held out the note, and Musa glanced at it before snickering, "Wow, a guy who still wants to see you?"
"Shocking, I know," Kaiyo added with a giggle. Stella, before she said another word, began to panic a little, "But what am I going to wear? I'm so confused! Will you help me pick something, Korra, my sweet roommate?"
"I have no choice, do I?" The Avatar said with a sigh. Stella winked while grabbing the female dual avatar out of the kitchen. "Have fun, Korra." Bloom sarcastically waved with a smile, and Korra rolled her eyes, throwing up a middle finger. The pains of being a tomboy and being roommates with Princess Stella.
