Book III- Ascendance

The Alfea school for fairies was buzzing with students from all over. Once more, classes began. Griselda went through her list of all the students. Many of them were running or trying to find their dorms. A young man accidentally bumped into the vice headmistress. "Young man, watch your step!"

"Sorry- Sorry," he smiled nervously. The older woman adjusted her glasses, "And who might you be?"

"Chun from Elementia." He chuckled nervously, "Sorry! I have to find my dorm!"

"Wait!" Griselda huffed, "Every day, these new fairies get more unruly."

Third and final year, spirits, it almost felt like yesterday when he stepped into Alfea's gates just mastering earth bending and finishing his bending training. Wan was just happy to have the good old Stella back. The princess ball a few weeks ago was something else. First, Stella had the classic wicked stepmother Countess Cassandra and her daughter Chimera, who was a Sorceress. Somehow, Stella's father, King Radius, forgot who she was. What surprised Wan more was that Stella turned into a green toad-like monster. They had to run around to get her back to normal. 

Some vacation. 

However, Korra seemed worried, as if she felt a presence. A man said a name while she was going down the stairs of the Solarian Palace. It's been on her mind for a while. Korra noticed Aisha's worried expression all day. Later, Korra sat on the bed next to her, "So what's up? You seem pretty down in the dumps."

"I'm fine, Korra," Aisha flipped a page before closing her eyes, "You're not going to quit, are you?"

    "Nope."  

Aisha sat up, meeting the Avatar's eyes, "My planet Andros was attacked by someone who calls himself Valtor."

Korra's eyes snapped open. Her past life was calling her, but she quickly shut it down. Not right now.

"I see." Korra glanced over, fidgeting her fingers nervously. "We have to tell the others-" The door opened by Flora, " Faragonda wants all third-year students to the Amphitheater."

The Winx, along with other Third-years, was sitting and gossiping. Faragonda stepped forward to the stage. "Welcome, Seniors, You all have studied hard and gotten this far. Whatever stage you are at in your magic journey, you have done a considerable job so far." Kaiyo looked to the side to see Logan smiling at her. The fairy of energy blushed. Helia waved at Flora, who responded back in kind.

"Now, Seniors, you all will have a special exam you will must face."

Korra threw her head back in exasperation. One boy huffed, "Really, we just got here." 

"This final exam is important. Last year the goal was to earn Charmix, a booster, a small stepping stone. This transformation goal this year will be a milestone . If you are successful at earning this new power, you will have access to new abilities and the ability to access different forms for different situations. Reaching your maximum potential, even beyond."

The students gasped and murmured among themselves. "Woah." Korra gasped in, a glimmer of interest in her eyes. Musa whispered to Tecna. Musa's short pigtails grow out,  “Maximum potential?”

"Now, not all of you will earn this new transformation. That doesn't mean you are less of a fairy. Some will gain this later in life others won't. This exam you can not fail and will not bar you from graduating. However, if you pass or take this test, you will be rewarded so immensely that your magic and lives will change forever."
