Korra yarned, stretching her arms wide, relaxing as they finished the mission. Korra couldn't say it would have worked out better. They saved the pixies and bonded with her own, Hua. Musa, Flora, and Tecna all had bonded to their respective pixies. Finally, the Winx was whole again, and she was back home. Korra flopped on her bed, pulling her hair from its usual ponytail before she shook her head violently to get it all messy. She hears a ring from her phone and a text from Wan.
Wan: How have you been
Korra rolled her eyes, hastily texting back. She smirked, seeing her response.
Korra: We live in the same dorm. Find out.
Wan in his room scoffed while smiling, knowing Korra was playing. Korra waited as Wan texted his reply.
Wan: It’s 2 am, and we live in a dorm. We can’t talk like we were at home.
Korra: Wan, relax. Just come to the living room, and we can talk some more.
Korra slipped from her bed, tiptoeing from Stella and her room to the main living room. Wan was waiting for her in his typical black sweats and shirtless. Korra jumped to the seat right next to him on the large couch. “So, what’s up?” With a snap of her fingers and a bit of magic, Korra turned on a lamp next to the seat.
Wan took a deep breath in, “I’ve been thinking why the Trix was so strong.” he stared at the ceiling with contemplation. Korra chuckled, loving how her best friend was always in thought. Somehow, he was always retracing his thoughts and pouring them into his diary, he calls it a journal, but it’s a diary.
“Wan, you worry too much. As far as we know, the mission was a success.”
“I’m being serious.” Wan copper eyes glanced at Korra’s cyan eyes. Korra huffed, “I have known you my entire life, Wan. I know you are. You act like you’re ten thousand years old or something. I should give you a cane and call you old man.”
“I’m not old.” Wan folded his arms, but Korra managed to get a grin out of him. Korra merrily punched his shoulder, “But I’m here to listen. Something must have got you bothered at two in the morning.”
“Well, I was wondering why the pixies were freed so early, doesn’t it feel…right? Plus, that Paladin, I don’t know, the whole thing feels off.” Wan rubbed his temple while resting his head. “Just keep this between us, okay?”
Korra gave a small pat on the shoulder, “Promise.”

Wan was quiet as he listened to Faragonda's words about who their new threat was. He mentally took notes on her words. Their new threat was named Darkar, and he had the power of the shadow phoenix, facts, and simple stuff to understand. Ancient wizards and witches cast him into a deep sleep. However, someone awoke him, and he foolishly managed to fuse with him. And then the shadow phoenix's new host was named Darkar. In the back of Wan’s mind, he wondered what the Avatar’s spirit’s opposite was. One of the questions he would have to ask his past lives one day.
“That means the shadow phoenix wants revenge and is using the host to do that.” Flora voiced out. Faragonda nodded as she sat on her chair, finishing her projection spell, “Correct. He also wants all the power in the universe to be invincible.”
Musa followed with a quick question, “Then why did he kidnap the pixies?” Ashia also said, “He was trying to find their village, but why? What do they have that's so valuable?” All very good points to Wan. So why did the pixies were freed so easily?
