"Where is your brother?" I ask her as we walk away from the crowd towards the house. "I believe he is with your brother," she says trying to catch up with my fast pace. "How are you able to walk so fast in such a dress and shoes?" she asks panting. I ignore her as I search for her brother. We find him at the entrance along with Xavier busy smoking. " Madeleine, what are you doing away from the party?" Xavier asks once he notices us approach. "Sorry to interrupt but I must speak with James," I say in a rush. "Xavier," Grace greets. "Grace," he nods. There is silence for a moment before James clears his throat. "I shall be inside," Xavier excuses himself. "Right, I need your help with something," I say. "Alright what troubles is it you both are getting up to?" he asks raising his brow. "I need the keys to the records on the council," I say. "Nobody except for record keepers are allowed there, what exactly are you looking for?" "Excuse me, it's not right to ask a woman on her personal business. Heavens you could even accompany us," Grace interjects, bringing a blush to James's cheek. "Right shall we get moving?" I ask relieved I brought her with me.

We pull up a few blocks away from the base and start afoot. The cold London breeze brings goosebumps to my skin. We are halfway there when I feel eyes on us, I look above on the rooftops yet nothing is there. When we enter the hall we make a b line for the records rooms. "Why are we here?" he asks as he unlocks the doors. He then hands us candles that should help with a little bit of light. "I am trying to put rumours at rest," I say to him as we walk down each aisle. "I take it the ones about Lucian and the fact that he was going through the Bakers records," James asks. "Mhmm," I say focusing on looking for records on the Huxley Family. "Maybe we should spread out, find anything you can on the Huxley family as well as the Bakers," I say to them. Grace then takes her brother with her to the other side. I start searching the bookshelves for anything in relation to the Huxley family and their past. Eventually, I come across a book, written Anastasia Huxley. I grab the book and continue my search for anymore. I come across another aisle of classified information, these books are rather ancient. Webs and dust decorate these shelves. I find a book with the title Huxley on it. I take it out of the shelf and sit on the floor to start reading. The pages are already half disintegrated but, I am still able to make out the writing.

'I fear these creatures may wipe out all that pose a threat to their existence. Humans are disappearing faster at the hands of these undead. The council is falling apart, there is no trust amongst us. The gifted have tried to control us but have now failed. Those that had played a role in the betrayal will be sentenced to death by order of Selene. The Baker bloodline has ended at the hands of their son. I fear he may have Anastasia under the influence, she has not spoken to me for weeks now that I plan on killing her love. I have no choice for the safety of the pack and her I must kill Fitz Baker for he is out of control and may be our doom. Each day I notice she loses a piece of herself all because of him and what his kind had tried to do. I will not let this continue any further.'

Who was Anastasia to them? I remember Thea talking about this, this was the period where the council had originally formed, where the Gifted tried to control the wolves but failed. Did Fitz kill his family because of this? Did he share some sort of connection with Anastasia? Wait whose diary is this? I turn to the back to find the initials of Lucian Huxley written there. So then, Anastasia must have been his sister. I don't understand, what did Fitz do to her?

I then make my way to the entrance where I find Grace and James waiting, "Did you find anything?" Grace asks once she notices me. "I may have," I reply showing the book. "Whos Anastasia?" James asks after looking at the cover of the worn-out book. I shrug my shoulders not knowing myself, there are a lot of unanswered questions and once again it seems Fitz is at the centre of it all.

I find the entrance of the house silent, I take the opportunity to race for the stairs. "Where exactly did you and Grace disappear to?" I hear Alexanders' voice boom at the bottom of the stairs, halting I turn to face his angry face. I then hold up the book and say, "We went to the library." "In the middle of the night?" he asks with a raised brow. Well that is going to backfire, "In truth, we went to the infirmary Grace forgot something and I still have unfinished paperwork to fill in," I say praying that that will be more believable. "And you needed James to accompany you why?" "Well he would be helpful with unlocking the doors and as protection," I say feeling a pit in my stomach at this lie, or half-truth.

After reassuring him that we are fine I make my way to my room, not bothering to undress I start my reading.

Children are disappearing every day within the pack and their bodies are found only months later. I think it's the act of the gifted picking us off slowly, Anastasia doesn't seem fazed by the news of the youth constantly being taken. My father has decided to reach out to the Hellhound pack in hopes they might have an idea of what their play is. Our healers have been identifying what they did but everybody that we find is less wolf. It seems like the act of some other type of magic. They look like their normal selves except for their eyes, the one child found by the river's eyes have changed one side brown and the other pitch black. The same colour of an undead. I do not want to believe it but my suspicions have arisen that Anastasia may be in on this and I should think Fitz has a play as well.

The rest of the page eaten away from the fishmoths I presume. Lucian did have a sister whom may have died by what? I have yet to find out. At this point I do not know if I can truly trust Fitz either, seeing as he is the cause of Lucian and his vengeance. I need answers and this time I refuse to wait around for them.
