i look at her gift, then mine. "uh..." i trail off, moving my hand closer to hers, comparing our gifts. liv smiles, looking at me. "let's just-" i give her the present, and she gives me mine. we start to unwrap at the same time, and we see the vivienne westwood logo on the top of both our presents. we both open at the same time, bursting out laughing. "no way!" liv exclaims, taking it out of the box. "we got the same necklace for each other!" i take out mine too, turning to liv. we continue laughing, and liv hands me her necklace i got her. "do you already have it?" i ask, my heart starting to beat faster. "i don't, i want you to put it on me," she asks, smiling. i place my necklace back in the box, placing it to the side and turning back to liv. she watches as my hands were now showing after i removed the suit off my hands. i take the necklace, and liv turns her back to me.
i reach forward, putting the necklace over her head as she lifts her hair up. i connect the clasp to the small hole, and liv turns back around. i smile as she looks down, adjusting the necklace. "looks amazing," i say, smiling.
after liv does mine, we turn to each other. "this is cute," she says, laughing. "yeah, it's funny how we got the same exact necklace," i say, smiling. her eyes flicker to my lips, then back up to me. she looks down at my hands, seeing the ring. "is this the ring natasha got you?" she asks, her hands reaching for my hand. "yeah," i say with a smile, watching as she twists it. "it's really pretty," she compliments, smiling as she looks up at me.
i lean back, laying on my back and staring at the black sky, then closing my eyes. i hear a few vibrations from liv's phone and she lays next to me. "whatcha looking at?" she asks. "nothing. my eyes are closed." "oh," liv chuckles, and i open them, looking at liv. "are they open... i can't tell," liv says. "yeah, they are. i'm just looking at you," i stare at olivia as she keeps the close eye contact, and we both sit up. we both lean on our hands, our bodies weighing on it. olivia tilts her head slightly, looking at me with a soft smile for a few seconds longer, then licking her lips and looking down.
i look away too, staring at the city. a few minutes go by, and i change my position, sitting upright and leaving my legs hanging off the building. i look down, looking at the ring on my finger. i look slightly behind me, liv laying on her back, arms stretched above her as she texts on her phone with a smile. i try to think of something to say, but come up with nothing.
another 10 minutes go past, and by now, my whole suit was on. i look at my web shooters, putting my ring finger and middle finger down and pressing the thin web trigger. THWIP! the web comes flying out, and i watch as it ends, gliding down. i look back at liv again, still on her phone. i sigh, staring at her. her expression was neutral, and she was typing rather fast.
after a few more seconds of staring at her, i speak up. "is there somewhere else you'd rather be right now?" i ask, and liv looks at me. "oh- uh," she says, looking at her phone, then back at me, sitting up. "it's okay if you do," i try and make the situation lighter, nodding slightly. she sighs, looking around. "i... this isn't what it is, trust me," she says, standing up slowly. i follow her, and she tucks her phone into her jacket pocket. "you don't have to explain," i say. "it's just really complicated," olivia says, looking at me. "between us?" "no! no, we're fine- we're great. between cameron and i." i nod, not really sure what to say. "i just... need to figure things out." she wraps her arms around me with a sigh, jumping onto me. i wrap my arm around her, and she hugs me tight. i walk to the edge of the building, jumping off.
i carefully put liv down after landing on her balcony floor. she unwraps her legs, and then her arms. "tha-" liv cuts herself off as the balcony doors open. we both shoot a look at the guy who was standing at the door, mouth open. "cameron..." liv says, in a sort of disappointed tone. "what the hell?" he says, switching between liv and i. i quickly let go of liv's waist as i realized i was holding onto it. "okay- forget about this," he continues, pointing a finger at me and liv, "can we talk? that's why i came over here," he says, looking at liv. "yeah, we should talk." liv looks at me, and i nod. "i'll talk to you later," liv says with a nervous smile. "bye liv," i say, jumping onto the railing. i turn towards them as they awkwardly watch me. i wave to the both of them, leaning back.
olivia's pov
i guide him to my room, and i sit on my chair as he sits on the edge of my bed. "were you ever gonna tell me?" i say, crossing my arms. "liv..." he says, sighing. "olivia." i correct him. "you don't earn the rights to call me liv when you were talking to another girl while we were dating!" i start to raise my voice. "but everyone calls you liv! hell, even spider-woman does!" "that's besides the point!" i frustratingly sigh, looking at him as he rolls his eyes. "don't roll your eyes at me!" "i'm sorry, olivia." he exaggerates my name. "you don't get to be sorry, you know what you did."after practically kicking him out of the apartment, i walk into iris' room. surprisingly, she was sleeping. i close the door gently, walking to my room.
i press on y/n's contact number after brushing my teeth, assuming conan and madison were sleeping as it was almost 1am. she picks up after a few rings, and i let out a sigh of relief. "did i wake you up?" i ask, regretting calling first instead of texting. "no... sort of." y/n lets out a tired laugh, and i smile, turning off laying in bed. "i'm sorry," i apologize. "no, you're good. what's up?" "do you want the whole story?" i ask. "shoot," y/n says. i take a deep breath, starting to explain the story from the start.
"wow... that's a lot," y/n responds after i sit up, getting my water bottle from the bedside tale and opening it. "mhm," i say as i drink it. "he's such an asshole, he was so nice at first," i say after placing my bottle back on the beside table and laying back down. "you're right," she says. "you could just date girls instead." i smile at her suggestion, closing my eyes. "i don't think i'm into girls..." i admit. she doesn't respond for a few seconds. "ever thought about it?" she asks. "not really... kinda busy," i reason. "well, maybe think about it."
