"how do i look?" turning around to liv. she laughs, nodding from the edge of the bed, "unrecognizable alright!" "is it a little much for a shop to the mall?" i ask, turning back around and looking at myself in the mirror. "definitely, but better safe than sorry."

olivia and i walk into the empty elevator, and liv presses the third floor. i take my phone out, going to the camera.

olivia and i sit at a vacant table, taking out the cane's boxes and drinks. i place olivia's in front of hers, placing mine in front of me. she pulls down her mask and takes off her sunglasses, and i do the same.

i pick up a chip, dipping it in the cane's sauce. halfway through our meals, 2 kids come up to us. "are you... are you spider-woman?" the boy asks. i turn to them with a smile. "yeah, hi!" i say, smiling. honestly, this was a lot easier than getting invaded by the paparazzi. "can you shoot a web?!" the younger boy asks excitedly. "i can't right now," i say, looking at my wrists that didn't have web shooters around it, "sorry, i didn't bring my web shooters today," i apologize. "that's okay!" the older boy looks at olivia. "are you olivia? olivia rodriguez?" i turn to liv, trying not to laugh. "i'm olivia rodrigo, but close enough! 'a' for effort," liv says, smiling.

i stand up from my chair as they ask to take a picture, their mom standing opposite our table with the phone in hand. i stand behind olivia, placing a hand on her shoulder as the two boys come either side of her. my other hand goes to the younger boys shoulder, and we all smile for the picture.

i sit back down as they walk happily away, picking up a chicken finger. "you okay?" liv asks. "yeah, that wasn't bad," i say, smiling as i take a bite. "that's good," liv says, smiling back. "how's your cane's?" she asks. "it's great, yours?" "pretty amazing if i say so myself!"

we walk back to the car, a bag of clothes in our hands. i open the trunk, and we put the bags in there. olivia closes the trunk, and i open her door. she goes into the car, ducking her head. "watch your legs," i say, before closing it.

i walk to the other side, getting in. i start up the car, reversing out of the parking spot. "successful shopping trip?" liv asks. "successful shopping trip," i confirm, driving out of the parking lot.

1 WEEK LATER

i stare at aunt may's grave, reciting the words engraved on it. "if you help someone, you help everyone. loving aunt," i whisper, sitting down beside the grave.

olivia's pov
i look around the church for y/n after filling up the car with gas, mostly everyone leaving already. "y/n?" i ask, walking up to one of the few people still here. "do you know where y/n went?" i ask. "last i saw her... she was at may's grave. please send her my condolences when you find her." i nod, walking away. i brush past a few at the entrance, walking to the graveyard outside. i search around, seeing y/n in the distance.

i walk to her, her back facing me as she stares at may's grave. i frown, kneeling down. my arms wrap behind her waist, resting my chin on her shoulder. i softly kiss her cheek, looking at the grave too. "we'll leave when you're ready, take all the time you need," i whisper. all y/n manages to do is nod.

i sit next to y/n, crossing my legs. "we'll go soon..." y/n whispers. "it's okay, i'm here," i reassure.

15 minutes later, y/n stands up. i stand up too. "i miss you so much already may, i wish you were still here." she says, kissing her fingertips and pressing it against her grave.

i face aunt may's grave, sighing. "i wish i got to meet you more, you really deserved everything," i say, smiling softly. y/n smiles at me, hand intertwined with mine. we walk away, back to y/n's car.

we disconnect our hands as we get in the car, and y/n starts to drive off. i look at her, and i can tell she's trying to hold back tears. i place my hand on her thigh, tapping lightly for reassurance. she glances at me with a slightly teary smile, looking back on the road.

she stops at a red like and looks at me, eyes trailing down my body. her eyebrows furrow as she stops at my thigh, looking back up at me. "when'd you get that bruise?" she asks. "oh, i bumped into the bed frame a few days ago when you were sleeping and i had to make my way back to bed in pitch black because i forgot to bring my phone," i explain, chuckling. she smiles, shaking her head.

y/n's pov
i exhale in frustration as i couldn't fall asleep. i look at liv beside me, who was fast asleep, faced towards me. i pick up my phone, deciding to go on it for a little bit. 'y/n parker aka spider-woman and olivia rodrigo with fans at the mall today!' i read. i look at the photo, smiling at it. it was weird that people were now calling me y/n, and photos of me were being posted on twitter but i must admit, it was a really cute photo.

i turn my phone off, yawning. i place it on the bedside table, facing liv. i smile as her hand was placed in between her cheek and pillow, leaning on it. i move her hand, bringing it to my lips and kissing it softly, then placing it beside her. i close my eyes, falling asleep.

3 WEEKS LATER , 3rd person pov

y/n had been visiting may's grave at least twice a week, bringing aunt may's favorite flowers every trip, which were pink tulips. olivia visited may too, but not as much as y/n, knowing she would want privacy to spill out her feelings as she stayed there for a few hours.

olivia noticed y/n hasn't been eating as much as she used too, y/n saying that she'll eat later, olivia checking the fridge next morning and seeing the leftovers still the same. she had brought it up subtly a few times, but y/n always said she ate before and she wasn't hungry any more, or she'll eat later.

olivia had also noticed y/n had become a little distant with everyone, just a little distant to her, but not nearly as much. olivia knew it was because the fact that the passing of aunt may had finally sunken in to y/n. olivia felt horribly bad, knowing she's lost practically everyone who ever loved her. natasha, tony, aunt may.

she couldn't imagine the pain y/n was going through, especially being the same age as olivia. of course, it killed olivia seeing y/n in this state, and if she could, olivia would take y/n's place in a heartbeat.

but the best olivia could do was be there for y/n, she was one of the handful of people y/n had left. y/n appreciated it, letting olivia know every day with a deep thank you. even if olivia was busy with work, she would drop everything and drive back home - just in the speed limit - if y/n needed her.
