ALEX'S P.O.V
"Are you coming to my party this weekend? It's a celebration for when we pulverise the other team this Friday."
I laughed at Spencer's devilish grin. He always was a mischievous guy, especially with me around.
"I don't know man, will your sister be around?" I asked. I grabbed my football helmet and shut my locker behind me.
"Nah, when has she ever gone to a party? Ruby and Jordan are probably at some nerd convention. Don't worry, it will be drama free." He chuckled.
"Fine."
When Spencer said 'drama free', he really meant that there will be none of the famous 'Reid VS Carter' showdowns that use to happen back in Highscool Obviously, there would be drama. It's a college party, what more could you expect? Drama, alcohol, and half-naked chicks. Actually, when it was put like that, it doesn't sound half bad.
Spencer and I ran onto the training field and began our Thursday morning football training with the rest of the guys. I've always loved football. Ever since I was young, my dad and I would spend hours down at the park kicking the ball. I couldn't take it pro, Spencer probably could. But not me. I had to focus on my studies so I could get into a good school post-grad. I didn't like to show people that I had to try, so I kept it between the people who grade my papers and my dad.
Oh hey, I was now on the floor.
"What the fuck Spencer!" I yelled at my best friend, who lied on top of me.
"You were spaced out so I tackled you. It seemed like a good idea at the time." Spencer grinned sheepishly at me as he apologised.
I shook my head, got up off the muddy grass and peered to the stands. There, laughing with her friend, was my favourite blonde.
Her smile dropped from her face as her eyes fixed on my murderous glare. Keeping eye contact, I swaggered over to Jordan Reid as she now smirked.
"You poor baby! That must have hurt." Jordan cooed with fake concern.
Oh I saw what game you were playing Reid. Two can play.
"Yeah it did... My face collided with the ground. Kiss it better?" I challenged with a similar smirk on my face.
And she did. She kissed it better. Not that it got better after she kissed it, because it didn't. Jordan Reid placed her lips on the corner of my mouth and walked away from me.
Her, hips swayed side to side and me, eyes followed in a daze.
I touched my lips, remembering the way hers felt against mine. Pink and pouted lips. Jordan Reid's lips. Shivers ran down my spine in disgust. Total disgust.
"Hey dude, what happened? You alright? C'mon Alex, we're in the middle of practice." Spencer hurried me back over to coach and we finished off practice without any more unpleasant interruptions.

"Dad! I'm home." I shouted upstairs as I threw my bag onto the kitchen bench and raided the fridge.
Only to find shit.
Annoyed at my unfulfilled hunger, I bounded upstairs to my room. I logged onto my laptop to check my Facebook and got the usual amount of notifications.
I knew I was popular. It would be difficult for me to ignore my role in the social hierarchy. I had girls on lap when I wanted, and guys by my side when I wanted. I wasn't an asshole. Like I was nice enough to the people who didn't hang out in my social circle. All except Jordan Reid.
Let me tell you a little something, Jordan Reid brought out a fire in me that nobody else ever sees. She knew the right ways to piss me off, and how to look damn good doing it.
I pulled out of my thoughts for the second time today, my phone vibrated with an incoming call from Spencer.
"Can I help you Spencer?" I sighed as I scrolled through my newsfeed.
"Yes actually Alex, you can."
"And what would that be? Money? A girl's number?" I asked my best friend.
A nervous chuckle sounded through the phone.
"Ah, no. I was just wondering ifyoucouldgiveJordyalifthomefromschooltomorrow?"
"Speak English, my dear." I said, rolling my eyes.
Spencer took a deep breath and whispered "Can you pretty please give Jordy a lift home from school tomorrow?"
"NOPE. NOPE. NO. SORRY MATE. NO CAN DO. I'LL CUT THE BITCH."
What was the point in even asking me to spend time with Jordan Reid? She drove me crazy. We would probably have killed each other by the time we got home. "Are you high?"
"Alex come on! I help you out all the time, and it's like a five minute car trip. She doesn't like driving, and I'm busy." Spencer pleaded.
"Busy doing what?" I questioned. On second thought, I already knew what he was doing. Or who he was doing.
"You know what." Spencer snapped back.
"Fine. But you tell her to keep her pretty little mouth shut or I will not hesitate to throw her out of my car to greet a most painful death."
"Thanks man! Love you!"
And with that, I ended the call and threw my phone across my room.
"Nice work Alex. Really great work." I encouraged myself.
To distract myself from tomorrow's drive from hell, I turned my attention back to my Facebook. And because life hated me, her name comes up.
Jordan Reid Status - talk shit, get hit.
Was that about me? But she didn't hit me. She kissed me. Same thing really. Both instances would be unwanted. Whoever pissed her off, I saluted you.
"You hate her Alex."
"I know I do Alex."
And with that, I went to sleep dreading some quality time with that royal bitch.
