JORDAN'S P.O.V
"I honestly couldn't think of anything I'd rather do less." I inform him.
Spencer juts his bottom lip out in a pout. He's cross-legged on my bed, dressed only in his Harry Potter boxer shorts. "C'mon Jords, we had so much fun at the beach yesterday!"
Easy for him to say! He didn't have a sulky Carter to deal with. The little shit was moping around the whole afternoon after I whooped his ass back into line. He actually thought I'd let him tell me how I felt? There were a billion and one things I could've said to him to show him exactly how I felt, but I didn't feel like being a major bitch. Only a minor one.
"Nope. I will not let you put me in a life-threatening position with no one to help me if I come face to face with death! I'm too cute to die!" I huff.
Spencer leaps of the bed and grabs my shoulders. "It's camping for a weekend Jordan. I think you'll cope."
Pushing him off me and onto the bed, I assert my dominance. "You don't know me. Punk."
He has the audacity to laugh. "You are the biggest drama queen I swear t-"
"Don't use the Lord's name in vain!" A voice yells from downstairs.
Spencer switches on his 'mommy's little boy' voice. "I would never mommy!"
"That's my boy!"
His eyes brighten while mine roll to the back of my head.
"Even if a bear was graced with your company, there would be all of us to protect you!" He reasons.
Now it's my turn to laugh. "You're kidding, right? Sarah, who couldn't hurt a fly. Ruby, who would sacrifice me in a heartbeat. You, who talks shit but when it comes down to it, you'll be crying for mom. And Carter, well, I guess I could always trade his life for mine..." I say with a thoughtful expression.
Spencer shakes his head in defeat. "Think about it Jordan. The group's going with or without you."
My mood plummets. The group would have a terrible time without me. There's no party without the J-Reid! I couldn't do that to my dearest friends.
"Fine! I'll come! Jesus Christ stop nagging!"
"Jordan Grace Reid!" My mum screeches.
Spencer's cheeks flush with the effort of containing his laughter.
"Fuck off." I growl.
My mum appears in the doorway to my room. "You're in a lot of trouble young lady!"
"I know." I sigh in defeat.
She shakes her head. "Dinner. Now."
Spencer pulls her in a bear hug. "Thank you for slaving over the oven all day mother dearest!" He kisses her forehead and pulls her towards the lamb roast.
Groaning, I throw myself onto the bed which my annoying brother had warmed up for me.
"Shit girl. " I whisper to myself.
"Will you ever learn?" Mum screeches.
I whip my head up from under my pillow. "What the heck woman?" I scream back.
