JORDAN'S P.O.V
"Rise and shine bitch! The birds are singing and my uterus is bleeding!" Ruby cheers, throwing herself onto my bed, and me.
I use the small amount of strength I have to roll her off me. "Why are you like this?" I groan.
Thump.
Ruby's little red head pops up from under the bed. "Ouch! Jeeze, someone rolled off the wrong side of the bed this morning." She sniggers.
Wriggling down under my covers, I hide myself from the cruel and nasty sunshine. I enjoy the peace up until my bed sheets are ripped off me by a downright evil strawberry shortcake.
"We're going to Disneyland in an hour you ungrateful swine!" She hisses, threatening me with an invisible knife.
"Alright, alright, calm your shit." I mumble under my breath in defeat.
Ruby throws some clothes at me and hustles me towards the bathroom. "My shit is calm, however my menstrual cycle is not. That being said, my patience is wearing thin, so get in the shower and put these clothes on your body before I shove a chainsaw up your cute little ass."
"Is your patience wearing as thin as your uterus walls? Because they're obviously shedding quite a lot right now." I joke.
Ruby shoves me into the shower, turns on the cold tap and closes the shower door. The water seeps through my pyjamas and I bang on the glass walls. "Let me out!" I scream.
But my captor only smirks. "I'd hurry if I were you...We have eight minutes to be downstairs in the lobby." Ruby gives me a serene smile and walks out of the bathroom, leaving the door wide open.
Peeling off my wet clothes, I realise that I'm now fully awake. I'm so thankful for my beautiful, wonderful, caring bestfriend. I probably could've invited Logan, or that Sarah Scott from school - they're both nicer than this little shit.
I turn on the hot water and close my eyes, allowing the warm water to rinse through my body and down the drain. Not really having time to ponder life's biggest question, I shampoo and condition my hair, wash my body, wash my face, and turn off the water. I wrap a big fluffy towel around me while I brush my teeth and swipe on some mascara. I decide to keep it light because it's gonna be a really hot day and don't want to be a baked cake. I attempt to towel-dry my hair, but after hearing the room door close behind Ruby, I decide I don't have enough time. I shall allow nature to have it's way with my unruly mess I like to call hair.
Ruby picked out some denim shorts and a thin white shirt. Seems basic enough for me, and stylish enough for Ruby, so I throw it on.
"Why are you still here?" I yell across the lobby.
Carter turns around from chatting with my dad, face exploding in a grin at the sight of me. "Well, my lovely bestfriend decided to keep me around for another day sweetcheeks!"
My eyes nearly roll into the back of my head. "Wait, so your hand decided to keep you around?" I reply, struggling to keep a straight face.
Everyone around us with the exception of Carter and I burst into hysterical laughter.
Under the sounds of their amusement, Carter shakes his head. "Well that wasn't very nice babygirl." His tone is sultry and seductive, so I don't need a mirror to know my neck is flushed red.
"Jordan, Jordan." My mum gasps through giggles.
Carter gives our whole group a glare. "It wasn't that funny. Eighth grade humour people."
