Mistral, somewhere near the train tracks of Mistral express, 4:00 pm

Everybody was speechless. After all, what would be an appropriate reaction to a magical Assassin appearing from a lamp? On top of that, the group was wondering who Ozma is. Did the Assassin refer to Oscar or Ozpin? The projection started to become impatient.

Holo-Assassin: Well? What questions do you want me to answer?

Ruby: Wait a minute I... I don't understand.

Holo-Assassin: Seems Ozma, or Ozpin in the case of your group, hasn't revealed to you my purpose yet. You can refer to me as the "Scribe". My primary function is to record all the events that have transpired on Remnant. However, I can also answer questions of those who activate me. Sadly, I can only answer three questions per century. Lucky for you, I can still answer-

Ozpin/Oscar: SHUT UP!

Scribe: Two more questions. Choose them wisely.

Ezio: I think we all know what the first one should be.

Ozpin/Oscar: No! Please... stop. I know you have questions. I know I haven't told you everything. But the answer you want will not help you.

Jacob: Bullshit! You had multiple opportunities to explain everything. To us and the Brotherhood!

Ozpin/Oscar: Now is not the time for bad blood Mr. Frye.

Yang: No. Jacob is right. Ruby, ask the question.

Ruby: Right. Scribe, what is Ozpin hiding from us?

Scribe: Is that your question?

Ruby: Yes.

Scribe: As you wish.

Suddenly, a blinding light emerged from the Scribe. When everybody opened their eyes, they found themselves within a white void, but... the rest of the group was gone. The Assassins tried to use their eagle vision, but with no effect. Then, they joined everyone else in shouting for one another. Blake and Aveline were calling out for each other. Connor kept calling for Oscar. Arno for Weiss and vice versa. Everyone tried to find each other, get a sign of life from somebody else, but it was just them. Suddenly, the Scribe appeared in front of them.

Arno: Where is everyone? What did you do?

Scribe: Do not fear. This is all just a projection in your head.

Weiss: Well that's not exactly comforting.

Jacob: Projection? What are you talking about?

Scribe: Now, now. That is not the question you asked.

Blake: I didn't say anything.

Ezio: I'm the only one here.

Scribe: I can hear all of you. Now watch and listen.

The Scribe gestured to follow him, and as the group did so, a world around them appeared. They found themselves inside a castle, no, a tower. They were at the very top, nothing but a road and a never ending forest could be seen outside the window. The Scribe gestured to a blond haired girl brushing her hair, she didn't seem to notice any of her visitors.

Scribe: Long, long ago, in a faraway kingdom that no longer exists, there was a princess trapped on top of a tower. Her name was Salem.

The girl turned around and walked up to the window. It took everyone a moment to notice, but the Scribe wasn't lying. Despite the lack of pale skin and demon eyes, it was Salem, but her look wasn't the only difference. Her posture, the way she walked, even her glance... there was no evil in it. She was simply a girl longing for freedom.
