Apple Garden, Lower levels of the City of Mistral, 6:00 pm
The apple garden was empty. Nobody would come here until summer for the harvest. The only exception was a lonely girl sitting under a tree and reading her favorite book about Champions of Light and Dark, a brother and a sister set against each other by their creators. It ended with both of them dying in their final fight. The girl always imagined an alternative ending, one where the siblings could have simply talked to one another and realize none of them are at fault for choosing different masters and that they have no need for bloodshed.
Suddenly, the silence in the garden was interrupted by a loud explosion. The girl stopped reading her book and carefully walked over to the mountain wall. Cinder blew her way out of the caves and was dragging herself out. Not knowing Cinder's true nature, the girl quickly ran over and turned Cinder on her back. She had a large scar on her side and was bleeding out. The girl put some pressure on the wound to try to stop the bleeding.
Girl: Miss, are you ok? What happened to... you?
The girl finally noticed Cinder's Grimm arm. She froze, something like this couldn't be possible... at least that's what she thought until now. The last thing she saw was the Grimm arm lunging at her throat, and after that... nothing.

Near the Mistral-Express train tracks, Somewhere in Mistral
Ruby opened her eyes. She noticed that the lamp was resting in her hands, even though she didn't remember grabbing it. Ruby looked back to see the rest of the group open their eyes, where she could swear she saw an unnatural bright yellow flicker in their eyes.
Nobody said anything. They didn't know what to say. The whole group just found out the cause they were fighting for so long, what their predecessors were fighting for was not only impossible... It was a lie. Countless questions started to form in the group's heads that only formed more.
Arno thought back to the purge of the Atlas Brotherhood. Was it Ozpin's plan all along? Obviously, Bellec had to be stopped, he wanted to start a turf war with the Templars... but did the entire brotherhood have to suffer?
Ezio and Ruby were more worried about what the others would say. How are they going to explain this to Jaune and his team? What about Qrow? He was with Ozpin the longest out of the entire group. Did he know the truth this whole time? What about the Templars and Assassins themselves?
Yang thought back to what Raven told her. And if she was right not to trust Ozpin... What else was she right about?
Finally Jacob. He remembered Evie. He never truly got over her death, but now... now he couldn't hold it anymore. For the past year, he's been telling himself she died a true Assassin, but what did that title even mean anymore?
Jacob turned around and started speed walking towards Ozpin.
Ozpin/Oscar: I know it's a lot to take in. But you have to li-
Jacob punched Ozpin in Oscar's face and sent them flying into a tree nearby.
Jacob: Shut up! You lost the right to talk!
He started walking towards him with violent intent, but Connor stood in his way. She noticed tears in Jacob's eyes.
Jacob: Step aside.
Connor: I'm not letting you hurt him.
Jacob: Step. Aside.
Connor: Make me.
Connor prepared her tomahawks. Suddenly, Jacob lunged at her, but Yang managed to hold Jacob back just in time.
Jacob: Let me go!
