Someone's coming back... But who?

Chapter 9

Wills POV

The clopping of my feet against the floor I could tell was starting to get on Jayden's nerves as he sat on the couch on his phone.

"Would you stop pacing! Your making me nervous and I have nothing to be nervous about." He shouted not even making me bat an eye lid. I just continued to pace back and forth the living room.

One arm was crossed against my belly while the other was held up rubbing my chin as I thought.

It may seem ridiculous, well, it kind of was but Nikki had said I could invite Rose over to her and Trent's place for lunch tomorrow and I had no idea how to ask without making it seem like it was a date.

"Will!" Jayden exploded flinging his legs over the side of the couch so he was now sitting upright and glaring at me.

"Put your headphones in" I suggested, giving him a wave of dismissal.

"I'm not blind Will. I can still see you moving" he said rolling his eyes.

"Then shut your eyes"

"And while I'm at it why don't I just tape my nose and glue my lips so I lose all my senses" Jayden chirped sarcastically.

I sighed and came to a stop. "I'm sorry Jaydo. I'm just a little nervous is all"

"What have you got to be nervous about?" he exclaimed raising his eyebrows.

"I'm figuring out what to text Rose and its not easy" I stated starting my pacing again.

"It's not this hard either" he rolled his eyes. "There's no need to stress this much"

"You've got a girlfriend. There's no need for you to stress" I tried to point out.

"Yeah I know, and I was nervous not paranoid when I I liked her" he chuckled covering his face with his hand.

"I'm not paranoid" I protested frowning.

"You've been pacing around for the past 10 minutes wondering what to text Rose to invite her to go to Nikki's with a bunch of other people or a friendly lunch as friends" he said putting his hand in his lap and looking up at me shaking his head in amusement.

I stopped walking for a second and took in what he said. I thumped down onto the couch next to him. "Ok that makes me sound stupid" I admitted still frowning.

"Exactly" Jayden cheered throwing his arms up in the air.

"But what do it text then?" I looked at him for some guidance and he sighed.

"Just say a few friends and I were going to have a nice quiet lunch at a friends tomorrow, would you like to come?" He suggested.

"Ok" I sighed getting my phone out.

I ended up texting 'Hey Rose. Nikki's having a nice quiet get together for lunch tomorrow at her place (you know the girl you met at the club). She'd love it if you came along?'

I pressed send with Jayden looking over my shoulder. "See, that was even better then what I suggested"

I got up shoving my phone in my pocket. "Movie night?" I suggested to Jayden and he looked up to me with a puppy dog face.

"Is there popcorn?" He asked pouring his bottom lip.

I chuckled at him shaking my head. "Give me a sec ill go get it"
