Chris nervously paced around the room. Nick had given him Mak's number, but he was afraid to make the first move. What if he messed it up? What if she thinks he's a creep? So many questions filled his mind as he nervously looked over at his phone. When he close to her, he smiles because he finds her little actions cute. He smiles at her, but when it comes to forming words that's the hard part. It's like the words get caught in his throat, and he's left with nothing but a smile.

"Bro, you asked me for her number just to be a pussy? Man up." Chris then turned to see Matt and Nick in the doorway.

"Is it really necessary to call me a pussy?" Both Nick and Matt nodded in response, which caused the youngest to groan in frustration.

"If you aren't going to call her, then at least text her." Matt suggested as he heard his phone ding. A smile the spread across his face as he read the message, before immediately replying.

"I feel like texting is more your speed than mine. Have you ever heard that girls voice? Or do you even know what she looks like?" Chris asked as he sat on the edge of his bed.

"Nope." Matt replied with a soft smile as he continued to type away.

"And you're ok with that?" Matt nodded.

"It doesn't matter what she looks like or sounds like, because I like the person, she is regardless of those things. Besides, we'll get there, but for now I'm not rushing things. All I know right now is that I like talking to her, and that's enough for me." Chris sighed softly at Matt's words.

"That's my problem. Shes so perfect that I can't say anything in fear of messing it up." Matt gave his brother a comforting smile as he took a seat beside him on the bed. He then wrapped his arm around his shoulders, allowing Chris to rest his head on his shoulder. Nick then sat in the floor in front of Chris as he took his hands in his own.

"You won't mess it up with Mak. She's one of the sweetest people ever. Besides, she'll be just as nervous as you are." Nick then picked up Chris' phone and pulled up Mak's contact information. "Just text her and take it slow. You don't have to me like the men in those romance stories and profess your undying love to her before the first date. Just take it one step at a time but be bold enough to make the first move. Just like you did when you asked me for her number." Nick then slipped the phone into Chris' sweaty palms. His heart was racing with anticipation as he begins to type up a message.

Hello. You don't know me, but my name is Chris. I'm one of Nick's brothers.

Chris then bounced his leg anxiously as he waited for a reply. While Mak was freaking out as her cheeks turned several shades of red. Could this be the cute boy she met at her job, and then again at Nick's house? She couldn't allow this opportunity to slip from her hands if this was said boy. She then changed his contact name, making sure not to forget his name, before sending him a reply.

Hi. Umm...if I may ask, how did you get my number? Regardless of how you received it, nice to meet you. My name is Makayla, but I go by Mak.

For a moment Chris could have sworn his heart skipped a beat. She had replied faster than he had anticipated. He couldn't help but feel a warm, peaceful feeling in the pit of his stomach.

I might have persuaded Nick to give it to me. I wanted to talk to you, but I've always been too shy to speak.

Possible Cute Boy (Chris)

I can understand that. I'm the same way.

Chris then had a smile glued to his face as he continued to text Mak. Matt and Nick smiled to one another as they watched their little brother text his crush. For a moment everything felt perfect.
