Once again they were awakened bright and early with a mission alarm. Mayne came up behind the boys as they stood in front of the com getting the orders. She had seen something curious last night in a vision that she was not willing to let go of. She listened to the instructions and before they disconnected, she spoke up "Before you go, we need to talk about something." Rime and Ardor looked at her with concern. "I will not be participating in anything you need from me unless you give Ethan the same respect you give the rest of us. He has proven that a Zeta Filer is useful in calming down a situation and I don't understand why this type of treatment is common towards Elite's you have deemed weaker." she folded her arms "How much do you enjoy having a healer available with these two?"

"Oh," he was surprised "I honestly haven't thought too much about it" The man on the other end of the call didn't react the way Mayne thought he would making her wonder what would have changed between now and when she said something in the vision. "But, you may be right. Perhaps it is time for quite a few changes... and if that is what you believe we will make those changes immediately." He turned to the boys "Concerning this case... she does have a point, make sure Ethan is with you please. Theus and your grandma can handle things on the home front and put your uncle Devwl back in charge since Ethan is now a working Elite." He nodded at Mayne who smiled then he disconnected

She stood there for a second processing "I honestly thought that would be more of a fight, like it was in the vision when I brought it up a couple days from now." The boys were laughing.

Ardor kissed her forehead "Things can change quickly," he smiled impressed with her "The vision was most likely telling you now is the time to bring it up."

Rime smiled "That and you don't realize how valuable the three of us are to them."

"Now I do." She laughed. Mayne got dressed while the boys woke up Ethan, Devwl and Grandma who were all ecstatic to be included permanently now. The boys were happy too, the expansion meant more money & more complicated missions with a longer rest period in between them. Today's mission was fitting for Ethan to be on, a fellow Elite was struggling mentally from side effects to a Fallout that had already been reversed. They showed up to find the poor soul in a rage with tears streaming. Ethan and Ardor took over this time while everyone else focused on mopping up the chaos that had been caused.

For once Mayne was watching from the sidelines and wondering what things would be like if the attack had never happened, if her parents were still around. She healed someone who came up to her while still stuck in her own thoughts and didn't realize she was talking it out "Would they approve of everything I have done. Would they get along with Ardor and Rime?" She wondered if she was honoring their memory. She watched with pride as Ardor and Ethan calmed the victim.

"If you are referring to your family you lost in the attack...." They smiled as Mayne blushed realizing what she had done. "Yes they are very proud of you."

Ardor used his newly understood ability to pinpoint where the straggler fallout was. They concluded that Dr. Rye needed to have an input, so Ethan and Ardor escorted the victim to the facility while the rest of the group cleaned up and headed for the Eido. She watched as people greeted each other the way family members did and internally she missed that.
