Mayne had seen them shunning her and walking away and she had seen herself loosing them. She hadn't seen them accepting her choice, she was shocked at their response. The visions had suggested something entirely different would occur & yet here she sat in their bedroom in a towel. Her hair was still wet from the shower, it dripped down her back as she looked around the room. Her bed was by the door & parallel to it across the room was a large wooden bunk bed. Based on the things that were on the shelves at the head of the bunks she could make a firm guess that Rime had the bottom bunk and Ardor had the top.

The room was long and narrow, along the wall at the head of the beds were two doors. The doorway into the closet was by the bunk beds and the doorway into the bathroom by her bed. Along the final wall was a desk, a cabinet and a dresser. It was obvious that the desk was shared between them and the dresser was not used for clothes due to papers sticking out of one drawer. That meant that the closet had to be larger than it seemed. She glanced into the open door of the closet "clearly there's ample room in the walk-in closet for all of their clothing." The bed she was in was larger than the bunks by maybe a size or two. It was soft and comfortable, something that the beds at the facility lacked. The only window in the room ran along the wall that the bunks sat on, covered only partially by the foot of the bed. Overhead was a ceiling fan that had been painted silver & black.

The bed had pillows stacked at the head of the bed three deep, there was a ruffle on the base, a fitted sheet, flat sheet, soft fuzzy blanket and a comforter. As she was admiring the soft pastel bedding the door opened slowly. "May I enter?" It was Ardor.

"It's your room" She turned to look at him and regretted her comment instantly.

He raised an eyebrow at her as he entered the room, "want to try that again?"

"It's your room too?" She smiled

"Thank you," he handed her some clothes she didn't recognize "I can't believe you only have two outfits and no pajamas." He shook his head. "Most of the clothes look like you parents old clothes."

"Yeah, that was all I could find when I went back" she shrugged "Having their stuff nearby helps with the pain."

He playfully beeped her nose and laughed "don't do that" he winced

                             "Do what" she asked

"That sad look, don't" he sat down in the chair at the desk "I don't know if I can handle the thought of you being in danger as well as that look." He rubbed his forehead in exhaustion.

                           She forced a smile "better?"

"Not really," he chuckled "you look constipated."

She laughed and started to examine the clothes he had brought in. "Are these your sisters?"
