Mayne woke up with a start "stupid nightmares" she grumbled as she made her way out of the bedroom and down the hall. Uncle Devwl, Ardor, Rime and their sister Fauna, the twins cousins Qa, Roj, Chos & Masah and fellow group members Nyala, Topi & Ryder were all gathered in the dinning room, having a meeting over recent events. Her visions gave her their names but she was too tired to see who went to what. The chairs were all against the walls and the groups temporary boss was in the center where the table would be if they had it extended. Her parents had been the source for the technology that allowed for dining room tables to be hidden in the floor when not needed. Something her parents thought would only be used in Eido's.

Mayne glanced around the room quickly "the twins are on separate sides of the room" she thought, "but one of them was right by the hallway entrance in a loveseat with someone else in their group. Mayne wasn't sure which twin he was and was so tired she didn't care either. She climbed into his lap and cuddled down against his chest quickly falling back to sleep. Ardor and Rime were surprised to see her awake already as that she had been tucked into bed no more than 20 minutes ago. They were equally surprised to see her mistake their cousin Qa for one of them. Rime was in a chair on the other side of the room and Ardor was at his feet on the floor with his nose buried deep in some paperwork.

Qa's brother Roj laughed quietly "want me to bring her over to you?"

"No, I'll come get her" Ardor stood up to retrieve the sleeping beauty "then I'll get a blanket" he mentioned as he scooped her up "she is freezing. It was a warmer climate in Metro City than it is here so maybe she just hasn't adjusted to a cooler climate yet."

He sat her gently onto Rime's lap "she is cold," Rime wrapped his arms around her and nuzzled her "we will need to add another blanket on her bed." Rime agreed as he pressed his cheek against her cold forehead to help warm her. Ardor retrieved a large quilt in no time and tucked her in all cozily cuddled against his twin who was beaming with pride over her having chosen both of them, she was the only woman they knew that refused to choose between them. It seemed like not a big deal but to them it was, their abilities kept them locked in a permanent dance in perfect sync with each other. She was the first to look at them and see them as a pair not just two souls trapped, that meant something deeper to them. "At least for a while" he winked at Uncle Devwl letting him know it was safe to continue.

"Alright, can we get back to this now?" Their boss and uncle Devwl asked as he looked at the rest of the group for there agreement. There was no arguments so he spoke with a slight laugh in his tone "At least I'm not the only one that confuses you three," he looked at his son "now maybe your mother will drop it."

"Doubt it" Qa replied "she's half asleep, and didn't raise me" he smiled at his dad knowing he was winning this one "what's your excuse?" The room erupted in laughter as Rime braced for her to wake up but she slept through it. Ardor made himself comfortable on the floor again and started rummaging through the paperwork all over again.

Devwl smirked and laughed a bit under his breath, Qa was not wrong "As I said, VARE is not allowed to be officially investigated" he used air quotes "however with as excited as the government is to see her follow in her parents footsteps we are being granted a paid leave for an indefinite period of time to handle this new addition" he smiled "we are also being graciously provided with all the information we could need on VARE and full access to the entire governmental database."
