After the stressful night of training through a vision Mayne was exhausted and kept sleeping, Ardor and Rime weren't sure what was going on but had decided to not alert the family doctor yet and just let her sleep. The family tried to argue but mom and dad ended the discussion with a declaration that it was the decision for Ardor and Rime to make. But now it was getting close to two o'clock in the afternoon and they were more concerned with her getting something to eat. Rime gently kissed her, "Wakey, wakey, you have slept through the day" She wiggled and tried to hide in the blanket. Ardor came up and tickled her through the blanket, Mayne responded by tickling Rime. "Hey no fair!" He giggled
She poked her head out "did you seriously just giggle?" She laughed, her smile lightened their hearts and eased some of the concern they had over her sleeping so long.
"Men can giggle too" he replied "if you think that makes me less of a man," he smiled "I'll show you tonight how much of a man I really am." Mayne blushed and Rime smiled "hmm..." he kissed her gently.
Ardor sensed the excitement in his twin and knew it was not yet time for that level of intimacy so he spoke up as he pulled the extra quilt from the bed "Dinner, Mom & Dad are barbecuing. And forewarning, if you don't start calling them Mom & Dad you're going to insult them." Ardor folded the quilt as Mayne stretched, he scooped up Rime's laundry and took it to the bathroom hamper eyeing him on the way by Rime smiled a thanks to him.
"I had the weirdest dream, I think it might have been a vision." Mayne struggled to bring it into focus but something about it made her head spin.
"Anything we should worry about?" Ardor handed the blanket to Rime as he walked by from the bathroom headed out the bedroom door to let them know she was finally awake. After a few minutes he ducked back in, Mayne had waited to answer until he returned.
"No," she puzzled "I saw you two training me. It felt so real, the dream or vision, whatever it was felt so real." Slowly bits of it started to clear up, "there's something about the beginning of the vison that I don't think I need to know just yet. As for the rest, I can feel the grueling exhaustion in my muscles" she winced as her entire body remembered the training "but the memory, the facts of it are still foggy, the time frame seems off," then she saw it "It lasted fifteen years!" she gasped
"Yeah, that is probably how long it would take to train you dear. But it wouldn't be us training you." Rime stood up, stretched and headed out of the room to check in with mom and dad, he didn't like the idea of Ethan training her for some reason and didn't want to talk about it. He and Ardor had been taking turns staying by her side until she woke up and this last hour and a half was his turn and he was curious about what he had missed so he just left to see. Worried again about her training he tried to sneak some food but got his hand gently slapped from mom and a scowl from dad.
"No, you don't understand" she looked at her hands "I think you already have." She called forth the lightning and felt the control within her, as exhausted as her muscles were they remembered this. The lightning stayed in place on her hand not moving around but acting as if it were a current between her fingers. "Watch what I learned you two can do with me." Ardor raised an eyebrow as Mayne reached for his hand with her Lightning free hand. As she grabbed his hand the lightning in her hand changed color to red & gave off intense heat.
