You wake up to see ray of sunlight squeezing through the blackout curtains. You feel arms around you and for a split second, you think that it's JK's and when you realize it isn't him, you feel saddened. You think about all the things you and Josh did last night and think, "Oh brother... I have to work with this man. He is my boss, Christ's sakes." Even as you think that, you cannot help but feel the throb in your core when you remember how he was in bed with you. The experience was akin to watching a maestro conducting a large orchestra. Bottom-line, you were a fan of Josh.

You think to yourself, "How much easier would my life be if I felt for Josh, the way he felt for me?" But, at least for now, no matter how you try to look at it, you don't have that kind of feelings for him. Especially compared to the kind of feelings you have... had, for JK, it all seems to pale in comparison. You turn around in his arms to face him. You say nothing and just stare up at Josh.

Without opening his eyes, he says, "Good morning."

You reply, "Good morning."

"Are you being a cat right now?"

"A cat?"

"You know, when they want to be fed in the morning, the come onto your bed, press their little paws right on your bladder until you have no other choice but to wake up and feed them. A cat."

You laugh and say, "No, nothing like that. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit this, but I was thinking about what you did, with me, last night."

He finally opens his eyes slowly and says, "Wow, you really must have like something I did. Tell me, what was your favorite part?"

"It's really hard to pick just one or two, but I would have to say your efforts to keep me grounded and out of my head. You were masterful. Five chef's kisses."

He laughs out loud and says, "There is that sense of humor again. You are something else, you know that?"

You roll onto your back, still in Josh's embrace, and say, "Oh sir, you have no idea how far off the field I am. I'm something, alright. Anyway, I guess I need to figure out what I would need to do. I've gotten myself into a predicament that is going to make my life, at least for the next several weeks, a royal pain in my ass."

Josh sticks out his lower lip and says, "Awww... And such a nice ass too."

You smack his arm lightly. In that instant, you go slick for Josh again, but you don't let on because you don't want to encourage him or give him hope where there is none. You think to yourself, "You are just going to have to work with the memory of last night. You are cut off. No more."

Josh continues, "What do you need to have in place for you to be... I don't know the correct term here, free of JK?"

You reply, "I don't know if you knew this or not, but JK and I moved in together couple of months ago and I let the lease on my apartment lapse, so... I am effectively homeless right now. I never thought I would ever have to say those words. Anyway, I would need to find a place to live, then move what few things I own out of JK's place. Shit! I pitched all of my old furniture and everything when I moved in with him. Ugh! I'm an idiot. I really thought he was the one."

Josh just listens to you babble on, no judgment, jealousy, or pity. You think, "He really is a good man," then you chide yourself in your head, "Why can't I have feelings for this man instead?"

You two decide that you'll get ready, have breakfast, and come up with a game plan. The first item on the agenda is to find you a place to live, temporary or permanent. Then, to arrange a time for you to go and get all your things moved out of JK's place into yours. You decide to put a pin on furniture and things for now.
