HEIRESS TO TECH COMPANY FORTUNE SENTENCED TO JAIL AFTER HIT AND RUN

On Friday last week, Ms. Priscilla Lawson, the daughter of Omnitech mogul Henry Lawson, pled guilty to fourth degree vehicular assault, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of an accident for hit and run that occurred eighteen months ago. Yesterday afternoon, Lawson was sentenced to 11 months in county jail and a large fine. Lawson declined to comment but her attorneys held a press conference yesterday afternoon.
Lawson's attorneys attributed "Her lapse in judgement" to multiple life stressors around the time of the incident, which included an unplanned pregnancy and sudden breakup of a long-term relationship with the COO of Global Atlas Corp, JK Jeon. Sources close to the investigation confirmed that the victim of Lawson's assault was believed to be the reason for Lawson and Jeon's separation. Jeon declined to comment.
At the time of the arrest, Lawson's passport was seized, and her driver's license revoked. Lawson has been out on bail of $1,000,000 since the time of the arrest. Payton Zielinski, the assistant district attorney in charge of the case, released a statement yesterday afternoon after the sentencing took place. She indicated that the prosecutor's office and the victim are satisfied with the sentence and that the victim is looking forward to moving on with her life.
