she walked into the forest, where she knew daryl was luckily for her she had always grown up being taught how to track, shane had asked if he and stella could hang out for the day so she agreed. "i almost shot ya." daryl said from beside lillian "well you didn't." she replied, they didn't say anything else for a long while, she watched as he shot squirrels to take back to camp.
"the hell happen to your hands?" daryl said, she looked at her hands and looked at the cuts and scrapes "nothin' to worry 'bout" she said with a small wink in his direction which made him chuckle quietly. "why're you out here?" daryl asked the ginger "stella's hanging with shane, i was bored." she said with a small smile which he returned.
she noticed that daryl was going to say something else but she brought her pointer finger up to her lips and made a small shushing noise making him look at her weird "the hell you-" he started to say before she clasped her hand around his mouth "dixon, shut up." she whispered before removing her hand and pointing towards two rabbits making daryl have a smirk on his face before he shot and killed both of them.
"thank you. didn't have to cover my mouth though." he said while they walked over to collect them "it's not my fault you don't stop talkin'" she said with a small smirk making him roll his eyes before they walked back to the camp. "what'd you do before all this?" he asked "for awhile i was with the wrong crowd, but i smartened up when i had stella, then i became a paramedic, you?" she replied "drifter, i followed merle around, got me into a lot of shit but he's still my brother, y'know?" he said making her nod.
"i'm sorry about that by the way, merle i mean." she said with a sad smile on her face "it's not your fault, you didn't cuff and leave him on a rooftop." daryl said while kicking a branch. "still, he didn't deserve that." she said. "i think shane's got a thing for you" daryl said "what?" she replied with a small laugh "he's hangin' round your kid to get close to you, hell i'd do the same." daryl said making her laugh again.
"nah, that's a dumb." she said with a small laugh "it works." daryl said "shane ain't my type anyway." she said with a roll of her eyes "then what is your type then, if sheriff's deputy ain't it." daryl asked as they got back to the camp "wouldn't you like to know?" she said with a smirk plastered on her face before walking away towards her daughter and shane.
"what's going on here?" lillian asked while smiling when she saw stella with a bright smile on her face. "shane's teaching me how to start a fire." stella said "oh yeah?" lillian said while sitting next to her daughter as shane smiled at the two redheads. though daryl didn't have time to look at the group of three who seemed to look like a happy family, seeing as he had to go save his brother.
