lillian stayed with the majority of the group at the highway while daryl, rick, shane, and glenn went to go and look for sophia. lillian still hadn't said anything to her daughter, she didn't know what to say, stella hadn't left her moms side since carl had tried talking to her but she completely ignored him and continued to stare at the road from where the walkers had come from.

"are you mad at me?" stella asked quietly "no, disappointed, not mad." lillian said shortly. "im okay." stella said "you shouldn't have run off after her." lillian said "she's my friend." stella said angrily. "and i get that but you scared me, okay?" lillian said "you would've done the same thing if it was auntie jenna." stella said making lillian whip her head towards her daughter "stella, we don't talk about her, ever again. okay?" lillian said angrily before stella walked away and went to see carl.

"you didn't find her?" carol said "her trail went cold. we'll pick it up again at first light." rick said "you can't leave my daughter out there on her own to spend the night alone in the woods." carol said while crying "out in the darks no good. we'd just be tripping over ourselves. more people get lost." daryl said.

"but she's twelve. she can't be out there on her own. you didn't find anything?" carol asked looking at rick as daryl slowly migrated towards lillian "i know this is hard. but i'm asking you not to panic. we know she was out there." rick said "and we tracked her for a while." daryl said "we have to make this an organization effort. daryl knows the woods better than anybody. i've asked him to oversee this." rick said to the group.

"is that blood?" carol asked "we took down a walker." rick said calming down the short haired woman. "walker? oh my god." carol said "there was no sign it was ever anywhere near sophia." rick reassured "how can you know that?" andrea asked "we cut the son of a bitch open, made sure." daryl said which had calmed carol down slightly "how could you just leave her out there to begin with?" carol asked looking at rick and her eyes slowly moving to stella before going back to rick.

"how could you just leave her?" carol asked again looking at stella this time who slightly shuffled closer to lillian "those two walkers were on us. i had to draw them off. it was her best chance." rick said looking at carol. "sounds like he didn't have a choice, carol." shane said. "how is she supposed to find her way back on her own?" carol asked. "she's just a child. she's just a child." carol cried quietly. "it was my only option. the only choice i could make." rick said.

"i'm sure nobody doubts that." shane said "my little girl got left in the woods." carol cried "your 'little girl' ran, it's no one's fault but her own." stella said before walking away. "i'm so sorry about her carol, i don't know what's gotten into her." lillian said before following after her daughter who had went into the R.V.

"why the hell would you say that?" lillian asked angrily "it's true! i was there, if she had stayed like rick told us to she wouldn't be lost right now!"stella yelled "stella, she's scared for her daughter, you can't say shit like that!" lillian said angrily "what you want me to lie to her? pretend like sophia's going to be okay? pretend she's going to survive alone in the woods without a weapon?" stella said angrily.

"do not talk back to me, stella everly. you know better." lillian said, stella now understanding the anger she saw in her mothers eyes "i'm sorry, mom." stella said in defeat "don't apologize to me, go apologize to carol. now." lillian said before the two left the R.V.
