"so when are you gonna tell us what the hell happened here, doc?" shane said "all the other doctors that were supposed to be figuring out what happened, where are they?" shane said "we're celebrating, shane. don't need to do this now." rick cut in. "whoa, what a second this is why we're here, right?" shane asked "this was your move- supposed to find all the answers. instead we- we found him. found one man, why?" shane said.

"well, when things got bad, a lot of people just left, went off to be with their families. and when things got worse, when the military cordon got overrun, the rest bolted." jenner said, the mood in the room obviously changing drastically. "every last one?" shane asked "no, many couldn't face walking out the door. they.. opted out. there was a rash of suicides. that was a bad time." jenner said. "seriously shane?" lillian said quietly looking over to shane.

"you didn't leave. why?" andrea asked "i just kept working, hoping to do some good." jenner said silence taking over the room for a moment "dude, you are such a buzzkill, man." glenn said looking at shane. after the rest of the awkward dinner, the doctor walked with them down a hallway showing them the different rooms and explaining some stuff to the group.

"most of the facility is powered down including housing, so you'll have to make do here. the couches are comfortable, but there are cots in storage if you like. there's a rec room down that hall that you kids might enjoy. just ring plug in the video games, okay? or anything that draws power. the same applies if you shower, go easy on the hot water." jenner said before walking away, glenn turned to face the group.

"hot water?" he asked with a smile on his face, lillian let the hot water trickle down her face before washing her body and hair, then getting stella to have one herself. she walked into a random room but she noticed daryl on the couch "oh sorry, i didn't know this room was already occupied." she said before turning to walk away. "lillian, come back." he said making her walk back into the room.

she sat next to him on the couch as he handed her the bottle of wine "i haven't had a drink in years" lillian said while taking a sip of the wine before having a disgusted look on her face. "why not?" daryl asked before drinking a bit of the wine. "got pregnant, i was takin' care of her on my own, i didn't have time for drinking." she replied with a small smile.

"was the dad in the picture, before this?" daryl asked "nah, i never told him, wasn't the type of guy to have a kid." she said before taking a larger sip. "should've told him, if it were me i'd want to know if i had a kid out there." he replied "no, i didn't want her to go through what i did." she said "you're dad material, he isn't, trust me." she continued, daryl deciding on changing the subject.

lillian had gotten drunk for the first time in seven years, she knew it was a mistake but for that moment didn't care, she needed an outlet and for that night it would be getting drunk with daryl. "stella's a good kid, you raised her right." daryl said with a small smile "yeah, she is, isn't she, i tried." she replied.

"just don't die, in all this i mean she's taken a liking to you." the ginger continued making him smile softly. "that's cause i've got a crossbow." he said before finishing of the bottle of wine. "or maybe you're more likeable than you think are." she said, neither of them having been looking at one another. "if this place works out i'll show her how to shoot it." he said with a smile playing at his lips.

"thank you, goodnight daryl." she said before getting up and leaving his room. leaving him alone to deal with his thoughts and feelings.
