daryl rode the horse, looking around for sophia, shooting squirrels if he could. "woah." he said stopping the horse as he looked at the water, he got off and walked down the hill and to the water, finding sophia's doll. "sophia!" he yelled, before walking back up the small hill and getting back onto the horse. birds started to screech and fly away around him.

causing the horse to slightly freak out "woah. easy, easy." daryl said quietly, he continuously looked around for sophia, then they heard a hissing noise, making the horse whine and throw him off. he rolled down the hill as the horse ran away. "son of a bitch." daryl groaned as he landed in the water.

then realizing one of his arrows had gone through his side during the fall. he didn't know what to do other than to limp across the water, onto the other side of the creek, once he did he cut the sleeves off of his shirt and made a bandage to slow down the bleeding as much as he could.

he was in pain while he tried to walk up the hill, before hearing rustling in the bushes near him, he got back into the water to look around for his crossbow. he groaned in pain as he tried to get up the hill, nothing on his mind other than getting back alive. for a minute lillian crossed his mind, her smile, and her laugh.

getting up the hill wasn't easy, especially with an arrow in his side "come on, you've done half. stop being such a pussy." daryl said to himself as he tried to pull himself up using trees and roots, he took a second to breathe which causing him to fall. again. leaving him unconscious.

eventually he opened his eyes to see merle. "why don't you pull that arrow out, dummy?" his brother said "you could bind your wound better." merle continued. "merle." daryl said quietly but with a tint of happiness in his voice "what's going on here? you taking a siesta or something?" merle asked "having a shitty day, bro." daryl replied.

"like me to get your pillow? maybe rub your feet?" merle asked "screw you." daryl replied "huh-uh. you're the one screwed from the looks of it. all them years i spent tryna make a man of you, this is what i get? look at you. lying in the dirt like a used rubber. you're gonna die out here, little brother. and for what?" merle asked "a girl. they lost a little girl." daryl replied.

"so you got a thing for little girls now?" merle asked "shut up." daryl replied "'cause i noticed you ain't out looking for old merle no more." merle said "tried like hell to find you, bro." daryl said "like hell you did. you split, man. lit out first chance you got, going with that pretty ginger girl and her daughter." merle said.

"you lit out. all you had to do was wait. we went back for you. rick and i, we did right by you." daryl said "this the same rick that cuffed me to the rooftop in the first place?" merle asked "forced me to cut off my own hand? this him we're taking about here? you his bitch now?" the older dixon continued.

"i ain't nobody's bitch." daryl said "you're a joke is what you are, playing errand boy to a bunch of pansy-asses and democrats. you're nothing but a freak to them. redneck trash. you really think lillian's going to wanna be with someone like you?" merle said. "they're laughing at you behind your back. you know that, don't you? i got a little news for you, son. one day they gonna scrape you off their heels like you was dogshit." merle said, daryl slowly loosing consciousness once again.

"hey." merle said slapping daryl's chest. "they ain't your kin, your blood. hell, you had any dann nuts in that sack of yours, you'd go back there and shoot your pal rick in the face for me. now you listen to me. ain't nobody ever gonna care about you expect me, little brother. ain't nobody ever will. come on, get up on your feet before i have to kick your teeth in." merle said before standing up, kicking daryl a bit "let's go." merle said.
