lillian was worried, she didn't know why but she was, she had a bad feeling. "i'm sorry." alex said as he sat next to her on the porch step "leave me alone." lillian said before walking into the house to help continue with dinner. "hi hershel." she said while kissing his cheek before walking back into the kitchen.

helping make dinner was boring, the kitchen was crowded and they really had no use for lillian, she hadn't ever been good at cooking which was annoying, especially being a single mom, having stella laugh at her whenever she would cook. they all ran outside when hearing a gunshot. "what one earths going on out here?" hershel yelled.

"oh my god." lillian said as rick and shane dragged daryl inside "what the fuck happened." lillian asked as she followed "andrea grazed him." dale said "why the hell did she have a gun in the first place?" lillian asked as they laid daryl down on the bed to help his wounds.

she sat on the chair next to rick as they talked about how he found sophia's doll. "any idea what happened to my horse?" hershel asked "yeah, the one that almost killed me? if it's smart, it left the country." daryl said "oh, you took out nervous nelly." lillian said with a small laugh "as lillian said, we call that one nelly, as in nervous nelly. i couldve told you she'd throw you if you'd bothered to ask." hershel said.

"you really are an idiot, daryl." lillian said "shut up." he said with a small smile playing on his face. "it's a wonder you people have survived this long." hershel told rick. "you okay?" she asked as rick and shane left the room "ill be fine." daryl said. eventually hershel left the room as daryl fell asleep.
"mom? is he okay?" stella asked while walking in the room "yeah, he'll be fine." lillian replied, she was angry with andrea. "andrea's stupid." stella said making lillian chuckle quietly "she is, isn't she?" lillian said.

lillian hadn't known if daryl would be okay with her and stella staying with him, but she also didn't want to leave him alone. eventually stella and lillian had fallen asleep on the two chairs in the room, carol walked in and saw daryl looking at lillian before he turned around and pulled the blanket up his body more.

"how are you feeling?" carol asked with a tray of food in her hand "as good as i look." daryl said shortly "i brought you some dinner. you must be starving." carol said before kissing his head "watch out. i've got stitches, have they been here the whole time?" daryl asked "yeah. you need to know something. you did more for my little girl today than her own daddy ever did in his whole life." carol said "i didn't do anything rick or shane wouldn't have done." daryl replied "i know. you're every bit as good as them. every bit." carol said before leaving the room.

daryl looked at lillian who was still fast asleep and yet had a small smile on his face. "fun fact it's weird to look at people while they're sleeping." lillian said quietly before opening her eyes "sorry." daryl said quietly "i was kidding." she said with a small smile "sorry for staying, i didn't know if it made you uncomfortable or not, i was just worried, so was stell." lillian said quietly "look who admits to being worried about me." daryl joked "that's because i care about you." lillian said quietly.

"oh." daryl said quietly "sorry." lillian said nervously. "don't be, please." daryl said "you should eat." lillian said nodding her head towards the try of food carol had brought him. "you should as well." daryl said "i'm not hungry." lillian said with a small smile. "you didn't have to stay, y'know." daryl said "i know." she replied while stella stirred a bit before waking up. "daryl! are you okay?" she said kind of loudly "shh." lillian said, shushing her daughter.

"i promise, i'm okay, kid." daryl said with a small smile at how the two girls cared for him, they really proved merle wrong in daryl's mind.
