Thomas and James left Emily at the Steamworks and were now puffing down the mainline. Their driver's noticed that they were low on coal so they refilled at the nearest coal hopper before continuing down the line. Emily had reassured Thomas that she would be safe there but still grew worried. James eventually stopped pouting and wore the same worried expression. Ryder and the pups were still inside Thomas and James' cabs and were taking naps. The recent events began to replay in the two engines' smoke boxes.

"Do you think Emily is going to be alright?" Thomas asked.

James could tell Thomas was sincerely worried about their friend back at the steamworks hiding the documents that was the actual truth about what happened with the Fat Controller and knew this was not the time for him to be in his same vain mood that he was most known for.

"If I know Emily, she'll pull through this and be back in action in no time. That is, once after we get Humdinger out of power." The big red engine answered.

This made Thomas ponder about the past events that have been happening on the island, with James being the most recent. Most of them were caused by Humdinger and it was clear that he wanted nothing but dominance over everyone on the railway.

"What has Sodor become now?" Thomas asked as he looked down to his buffers.

"An island that's slowly becoming a dystopia. That's what Sodor has become." James replied crossly.

"What are you trying to say, James?"

"I'm saying that this island is not Utopia anymore."

"'Utopia'?"

"Yes! We were all living in peace when the Fat Controller was sitting peacefully in his office, managing his job and time of us contributing to about everyone on this island. Now, Sodor has become something that isn't Sodor ever since Humdinger took his place!"

Thomas took thought at what James had said and knew that he was right. After all the accidents that had taken place, whether they were intentional or not, The two engines knew that the two of them and every other engine on the island were not safe from Humdinger's antics.

"I hate to say it, but this is not Utopia."

It wasn't long before James and Thomas started to go faster while Thomas started to sing.

Thomas: Like a shot without a warning

Lies a life that's left behind

And though I try, it's something that I can't unsee

It's just burned into my mind

And I wake up in the morning

News keeps flashing on my eyes

These dying streets are bruised and beaten

And riot flags are waving

Poor and weak, we extend this streak

These lives we could be saving

Life is cheap, I sit and weep

'Cause there's just no mistaking

Oh, this is not Utopia

Engines from around the island started to join Thomas' musical.

Gordon, Henry, and Edward were all at Knapford station, looking cross as they sang.
