The engines were outraged by Mayor Humdinger's behavior yesterday. Especially Gordon and Oliver. Oliver was more than ticked off when he was told about the lie he told Duck about having feelings for him and was about to go after him but Duck insisted he didn't for his well being. And Gordon didn't like the fact the mayor took the express line, not knowing how dangerous it was. The engines at the sheds were Gordon, James, Henry, Thomas, Duck, and Oliver. When morning came, they were still fuming.
"Who does that pompous prat think he is riding on the express line like that? He could've gotten himself hurt!" Gordon complained.
"You haven't heard anything yet," Duck joined in. "You should've heard what he told me."
"And what was that?" James quizzed.
"That Oliver liked me more than a friend." Duck replied bitterly.
"Well, he's lucky I didn't tear him a new backside for saying that." Oliver stated.
"And what would've you done if I told you not to?"
"I'd still do it."
"Rubbish!"
"It's not rubbish!"
Just then, they all heard the motor of a familiar kitty mobile. They rolled their eyes dreadfully as the purple kitty mobile came to a stop and Mayor Humdinger hopped off.
"Good morning, fellow engines." He greeted. The engine's replies were faint.
"I know you didn't like my choices from yesterday," He said, eyeing Gordon. "But that's really none of your business."
The mayor began to tell the engine's their assignments for the day while giving them an insult. When he finished, he turned around to face his kitty carrier, but he turned to face the engines one last time.
"Oh, and before I go, make sure no accidents occur on your way whatsoever." He smirked before turning around and walking back to his kitty carrier.
"You know, I'd love to stay and chat, but I can't. I have work to do, and so do you." Gordon said, pulling out of his berth and onto the turntable.
After everyone else had left the sheds and Thomas was alone, he knew this was his chance.
"Bob, can we go now?"
"Sure." His driver replied. And the two set off for the docks.
Ryder and the pups woke up three hours ago and sat around the Sea Patroller going over the plan. They heard an engine puffing around the corner and took a peek outside and there was Thomas. Ryder and the pups exited the Sea Patroller and greeted the blue tank engine. Ryder began telling the plan to Thomas and his crew.
"So, let me get this straight; You're going to take the evidence that's hiding in Emily's cab to the police station and show it to the warden, he'll take the evidence and show it to the judge, and the judge will have another trial with Topham pleading innocent, and then he'll kick Humdinger out of office and he'll leave the island for good?" Bob repeated.
"Correct." Ryder responded.
"And what if Humdinger doesn't leave the island?"
"Leave that to me." Thomas sneered, as an idea popped in his smokebox.
"What can you do?"
"I know a few engines that could help us."
Thomas, his crew, Ryder and the pups were confused by the look on the blue tank engine's face but decided to let him in on the operation anyway. Ryder and the pups nodded in approval.
"It's worth a shot." Bob said.
"Anything to get Topham back in control." the fireman agreed.
And with that the group parted with the PAW Patrol heading for the Steamworks while Thomas and his crew headed for the scrapyard.
