There are many engines on the island of Sodor. Some might say there's a million of them. These people are not only right but also wrong. Sir Topham Hatt's railway has many different engines from steam engines to diesel engines. But some of these engines are needed on the mainland and don't come back after several years. One engine, which was a diesel engine, was returning to Sodor after the mainland had asked the Fat Controller if they could borrow one of his engines. That engine was a Metropolitan Vickers Class 28 diesel electric type 2 named BoCo. He was scheduled to return from the mainland the day after Humdinger was now licensed as the official controller and had no idea that Sir Topham Hatt was no longer in charge. He was making his way down the main line passing engines who were shocked to see him again. Even the two saddle tank engine twins who were working at the China Clay Pits were surprised to see his face again. He soon met Timothy and Marion, who were taken aback once they realized that they've taken the diesel's place on Sodor. The diesel understood what they meant and accepted their apology. Soon enough, BoCo had heard what had happened with the trouble the Fat Controller got himself into and wasn't pleased by what he heard from the new controller.

"Well, is that so? I'd like to meet him myself and teach him a thing or two about having some respect and dignity for his engines." He said that night at the sheds to the other engines at the China Clay Pits before going to sleep, determined to meet the new controller the next day before going to work.

The next morning, the new controller came to the China Clay Pits in the same blue car the Fat Controller originally drove when he was in charge. Out came a man in a purple suit and tophat with a blonde mustache who was followed by two kittens, one with a fur who resembled a German Shepherd and one that resembled a dalmatian. The man grumbled something underneath his breath about his new car not being his favorite color. BoCo eyed the man carefully as he made his way towards them.

"Rise and shine, you four," He greeted cheerfully. "There's clay that needs to be collected and delivered to the docks, so I wouldn't be running late if I were you."

Bill, Ben, and Timothy rolled their eyes as Boco observed the controller and his words. Humdinger was about to continue but stopped when he noticed BoCo.

"Hm. That's odd. I don't remember having another engine here at the sheds." He said to himself as he put a finger to his chin while eyeing the green diesel.

"I'm sorry, but who are you and where did you come from?" Humdinger asked.

BoCo smiled. "I'm BoCo. I just returned from the mainland after they asked Sir Topham Hatt if they could borrow me. I gladly obliged and worked there for a couple of years and returned just yesterday."

The mayor snarled as he heard the former controller's name and looked at the diesel engine.

"Great," He said sarcastically. "Just what I need; another engine on this railway."

BoCo was taken aback by this. "Is there a problem, sir?" The diesel said, trying to keep his patience unbiased.

"A problem? Why, of course there is. I had no idea you returned from the mainland. Another engine means more disobedience than usual. A call from the mainland would be much appreciated if they knew you were on your way back."

BoCo raised an eyebrow. "More disobedience? Since when was there disobedience on this island? Did you two do get up to your old tricks again?" The green diesel asked, shooting a glare at the two tank engine twins. Bill and Ben exchanged nervous glances.

"Oh it wasn't just them. It was everyone on this whole island! The engines have been miserable ever since I've stepped in."

"What?" BoCo asked with a shocked expression on his face. "What do you mean everyone has been disobedient? That can't be right. It wasn't like this last time I was here. Usually it's James or Gordon that's causing the disturbance, not everyone else."
