Thomas raced down the line and out of the docks as the plan was put into action. While the PAW patrol set out for the Steamworks, the little blue tank engine headed toward the scrapyard to retrieve the other Caledonian. When Thomas and his crew got there, they remembered how unsettling it the scrapyard was, but they didn't care. They had an engine to rescue. Sparks flared as they journeyed through. The little blue tank engine scoped out the building in hopes of finding the Caledonian. A line of cars full of scrap moving on his right caught his attention. There behind the cars was Donald. He was surprised to see Thomas.

"Thomas!" The Caledonian cried. "What are ye doin' here?"

"I'm getting you out of here!" The little blue tank engine replied with determination.

"Ye mean I'm going back home? Oh, thank you!"

After the last line of scrap was sorted, Thomas and Donald left the scrapyards. Donald was most grateful.

"I can't thank ye enough for coming to my rescue."

"Don't mention it. We're going to set this right once and for all."

Donald was nervous about being caught off the job but still trusted Thomas as they rolled along all the way back to Duck's branch line. Douglas was most happy to see his twin again.

"Donnie!" Douglas cried happily,

"Dougie!" Donald replied.

Just then, Duck arrived in time to see Donald out of the scrapyard.

"Well, I'd never thought I'd see you again so soon!" Duck said, delighted to see the other caledonian twin.

"So am I."

"Hey, Donald," Douglas spoke up. "Thomas told me that he and this new rescue team are going to help us take down this new controller."

"About time." Donald replied.

Donald then remembered their passenger run from earlier.

"Did you have any trouble taking the passenger train all by yourself?"

"It's all good, lad. I had help from Thomas and James and we managed to make it."

"Oh, thank goodness." Donald let out a sigh of relief. But he was still confused.

"Where did that controller go after he separated us?"

"Probably did something just as horrid. I don't even want to know where he is now."

"He's probably being useless somewhere." Duck said.

Mayor Humdinger was standing by the main line with Cat Chase, wanting to cause more mischief. He had put up a sign that said 'no Great western engines on the main line'. Oliver was taking a goods train on the main line and was coming up where Humdinger was sitting and Humdinger saw his chance and extended his hand to stop him.

"Oh, no." The Great Western Engine sighed dreadfully.

"What is it, Mr. Oliver?" Toad asked.

"Mayor Humdinger wants us to stop again."

"Oh, dear."

Oliver's driver applied the brakes and Oliver came to a stop. "What's the matter, now?"

"Can't you read the sign? It's a 'no Great Westerns allowed' zone" Humdinger stated, pointing at the sign.

Oliver looked at the sign and then back at Humdinger. "Are you daft?"

"For breaking that law, I'm going to have to give you a ticket." He said as Cat Chase fired a ticket out of its launcher. Oliver's driver grabbed the ticket and read it.

"This is absolute bollocks! This is the only way to our destination!" Oliver's driver bickered.

"Well, I recommend you find another way to get there. Try not to be late!" The mayor said before walking away.

"Oh, I'll try not to, you pickleheaded fraudster."

Humdinger stopped in his tracks and slowly turned his head back toward the Great Western engine. "What did you just say?"

"I said, I'll try not to be late this time."

"Huh. For a second there, I thought I heard you call me a pickleheaded fraudster."

"Why would I call you that? You're running this railway like clockwork and definitely not a madhouse."

"Why, of course I am. There's nobody like me." Humdinger said proudly.

The mayor then walked back to his purple kitty carrier.

"Blundering machine." He muttered before driving away.

"Git." Oliver said before continuing on his way after Humdinger was out of sight.
