*Deimtri Rose*

Deimtri Rose glared at his plate of food that sat in front of him. Untouched. After hearing the news of his arranged marriage, he lost his appetite completely. Why were they doing this to him? Was he really such a waste of an Omega, that he couldn't even find a suiter? Was that why they were basically selling him off to some man he didn't even know? Who was Theodore Mateo anyways? Demi has never heard of him before.

"I won't do it. You can't just give me away like that." He slammed his fist down on the table before standing up to give his father a heated glare.

"Demitri please quiet down. We are eating." His mother scolded him. Demi looked at his family, then at the maids and butlers that walked about the room. He sat down, his head hung low in embarrassment.

"My apologies mother." Demi clenched his fist under the table, lifted his head, and looked at his father.

"I can't and I won't do this. I'm twenty-six years old, I should be allowed to marry whomever I like." His tone started out strong until it became timid under the stare of disappointment his father gave him.

"We've given you plenty of time and options to do that Demitri, but you're too stubborn to get it done." Demi wasn't being stubborn, it's just most Alphas didn't want an Omega like him.

Demi was on the big side for an Omega. Standing at the height of six foot two, with muscle, he was seen as an Alpha more often than not. Omega's are supposed to be small, petite, and beautiful. Not big and tall.

"I don't even know who this man is, and you expect me to marry him? I've never even met him."

"You'll have plenty of time to get to know him, Demitri. You're marrying him if you like it or not." Demi felt angry tears in his eyes, at his father's dismal of his feelings.

"How many suiters have you been through anyways, Demitri? Like twenty?" He turned his head to give his oldest brother, Robert Rose a glare. An Alpha through and through.

"Why would you care Robert? It's really none of your business." All Robert did was give him a grin, as he stabbed at his steak with his fork. He shoved the piece of fine meat in his mouth, his dark blue eyes pinned on Demi.

"I was just pointing out your flaws, Demitri. No need to get your fur all ruffled up." Robert brought his flaws up like he was reading a book as if Demi didn't already know he was full of them.

"Robert has a point, dear brother. Your flaws are what's holding you back." Demi looked beside Robert to lock eyes with Everett the second oldest. Now that was an Omega if Demi ever saw one.

Everett Rose was the ideal Omega. Small, beautiful with skin a tad bit darker than Demi's and sky blue eyes. His hair was as black as their father's. He even owned part of the company. If he wasn't already mated to an Alpha, would he be taking Demi's place?

"I know," Demi muttered under his breath, as he gritted his teeth. He pulled his eyes away from Everett to look at the third oldest of the Rose family, Elizabeth. The one and only person who has ever been on Demi's side. It didn't seem like she was this time around though.

Elizabeth sat quietly at the table, her fork running through the mashed potatoes that sat on her plate. She acted like she didn't even care for the conversation that they were having. Elizabeth was mated already to an Omega seeing how she's an Alpha. They were all mated, even Robert. The fucking asshole.

"So that's final. You will marry, Mr. Mateo and you will give him an heir." There was one problem with his father's plan, Demi wasn't able to get pregnant. He found out when he was about twenty-two, after going in for a check-up after his heat that month. Come to find out he's infertile. Demi hasn't told anyone but Elizabeth, knowing that she would keep his secret for him.

"An heir father? Wouldn't that be a little hard on Demitri?" Elizabeth finally joined in on the conversation and asked the question that Demi was too afraid to ask.

"Nonsense. He's twenty-six and shouldn't have an ounce of difficulty getting pregnant and bearing an heir. Isn't that right, Demitri?" All eyes were pointed at him, as he looked down at his uneaten food. If he told them that he couldn't get pregnant, what would they do to him? He didn't want to think about it.

"Of course, father. How hard can it be?" He heard Everett huff, and Demi looked over at him.

"It's harder than you think, Demitri." Everett already had two children with his mate. Demi loved his two nephews, but he knew how hard Everett had it being pregnant. It was nice that he had Oliver there with him

"I'm not saying it isn't. I'm just saying that maybe I'm not ready for kids. Or maybe I don't want them." Demi whispered the last part under his breath, but he knew one of them had to have heard him. He hoped it was Elizabeth.

"Are you wanting our species to be erased from history, Demitri? You say that you don't want children is like cursing our family. I never want to hear those words come out of your mouth again, do you understand?" Demi flinched back from his father's harsh words, then gave him a silent nod.

"Now enough with your crying before I give you something to cry about. And for God's sake, eat already." Demi didn't even know he was crying until his father said something. He wiped at his cheeks and thanked one of the maids who stepped forward to hand him a tissue before he used the napkin in his lap.

"I'm not feeling very hungry. Excuse me." Demi sat up, ignoring the shout of his name from his father as he walked out of the dining room. He just needed to be alone and his room was the perfect place to cry.

When he walked in, he paused to see a maid taking clothes out of his wardrobe and putting them in a suitcase. The maid stopped what she was doing to look at him.

"How soon should I be ready to leave?" Demi asked as tears clouded his vision. Since only one suitcase was packed, maybe it wouldn't be for another couple of days.

"In three days' time, young master. Shall I run you a bath?" Demi went to his bed and sat down on it, his head lying in his hands as he tried to stop the tears tracking his cheeks.

"Please. Could you also get me a bottle of wine? I feel like relaxing a little tonight."

"Would you like me to pair it with some food while I'm at it, young master? I was told that you just left dinner without eating." He lifted his head to give the maid a soft smile.

"That would be lovely. Thank you." The maid left the packing to go to Demi's attached bathroom and start the water in his clawfoot tub. She walked out, wiping her hands on her apron, then left his room to prepare his food and drink.

Demi stood up and dragged himself to the bathroom. Mist was already seeping through the space, as he started to undress. The full-length mirror in the corner of the room captured his reflection. Demi paused in front of it before he went to the tub.

He was different than the rest of his family. They all had black hair and either dark or sky-blue eyes. Demi's hair was pure white and his eyes a glacier blue. His body also didn't help. As he turned to the side, he looked at his flat stomach. He reached down and patted the rippling muscles under his tight pale skin.

What would it be like if he could get pregnant? Would Demi enjoy the pleasures of carrying a baby, or would he hate it as Everett did? Well, it's not like he would get the chance to find out anyways. Hopefully, his soon-to-be husband won't care that he's infertile.
