Cody and Abigale had convinced Yusaku to spend the night. He didn't know how they did it. He got the feeling that Kayla didn't know how either. But before they knew it, they were together in a room after dinner with two bunkbeds, the ones on the right and top left empty while the bottom left had Kayla's things on it.

"Does this feel weird to you?" Kayla asked while they stood in the doorway, just the two of them, staring at thee room they were about to share.

"It does." Yusaku admitted.

Kayla held back a relieved sigh. At least she wasn't the only person getting the 'I can't believe this is happening' vibe.

Sure, she loved her brother. She really did. But they hadn't seen each other in years. She never understood why Yusaku left, but all she knew was that he did, leaving her behind in the process. After that, her parents became even more overprotective than they had been when he was kidnapped, barely ever letting her out of their sight. They would wait outside her friend's houses while she was hanging out with them, stalk her in the mall, and walk her to class. It was annoying to say the least, but now none of it would ever happen again. They were gone.

"Are you alight?" Yusaku asked, looking down at her with a worried expression in his eyes.

"I'm fine." She took a deep breath. "Just a little tired is all."

"We should get to bed then. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow if we're going to catch the next flight back to Den City."

"Right." She walked over to her bed and started shoving things in her backpack. She had forgotten to clean up earlier that morning and was regretting it, especially since she had gone to her house earlier that day and packed a suitcase (it was all she could do not to throw up when she was in the living room). Finally, she put her bag on the floor and then gently picked up her guitar case with her guitar in it, setting it down next to it.

"You still play?" Yusaku asked in surprise.

"Of course." She looked over at him in surprise. "Why would I not?"

"I don't know." He shrugged. "I just forgot about it."

"Oh." She tugged her covers back into place. "Well, goodnight I guess."

"Goodnight." She heard a shuffling of feet and felt her brother's arms around her. "I missed you too."

She smiled, leaning into him. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.
