Yusaku rubbed his temples. He was exhausted. He knew that he didn't have to get up in the middle of the night and go to Link VRAINS, but not going felt wrong. He had, surprisingly, not been woken up by Kayla making breakfast that morning.
"Are you awake yet?" He asked, poking his head around the corner into Kayla's room. She was lying on her bed, her PJs rumbled and one leg dangling over the edge of the bed.
"She is not, for your information." Winter popped up out of her duel disk. "She wasn't able to fall asleep until very late last night."
"Alright." He nodded and was about to leave when something on her wrist caught his eye. "Winter, what's that thing on her arm?"
Winter laughed nervously. "It's just a bracelet that her friend gave her when they were visiting. Bit of a strange looking thing, don't you agree? Female humans are quite interesting beings. No, don't come nay closer!"
Yusaku paused at the bottom of the stairs. "Why not?"
"Because, uh, well... It is rude to be in the same space as a lady when they're sleeping! Yes, that's it." Winter nodded quickly.
"Oh really?" Yusaku kept walking. "She's my sister, and besides, I don't think that she would mind."
"You never know. Humans are very fickle."
"Right." Yusaku looked at the thing on her wrist again and froze. "Winter...are you sure that's a bracelet?"
"Yes. Absolutely. Positive."
Yusaku glared at her.
"Uh, not. It's not." With that she sank back into the duel disk, vanishing from sight.
Yusaku frowned. Why did his sister have a duel disk that he had never seen before?
No, that was the wrong question.
Why did his sister have the same duel disk as Glacier?
