It turned out that Yusaku had more friends than he let on. A few hours later Yusaku was crammed into Kolter's hotdog van along with Theodore, Sky, Kolter, and Sky's older brother, Akira. Kayla and Jin had been banished outside, not that that stopped them from putting their ear to the door and listening.

"Is what you said true?" Theodore asked. "Is Varis really hurt that badly?"

Yusaku nodded. "He is. There's only one way to help him, as I'm sure you all know."

"Find Glacier," Sky finished. "But she could be anywhere. She might not even be logged in to Link VRAINS."

"I know. But I get the feeling that as soon as she sees us out, we don't need to find her. She'll come to us."

Kolter said something also, but he was too far away from the door to be heard.

"Even so Playmaker, how are you going to defeat her?" Akira asked. "She seems to be a very strong opponent, and from what little information we have on her, she has won each duel that she entered quite easily."

"Every duelist has their weakness." Yusaku said. "I understand if you all don't want to help, and you don't have to. But either way, I will track Glacier down and make her pay for what she's done."

"Are you kidding?" Theodore grinned. "This is the best thing that's happened to me in months. Of course I'm helping."

"Same here," Sky agreed.

"I'll do what I can from SOL Tech headquarters," Akira promised. He cast one last look at his sister. "Be careful, okay?"

"I will," Sky said.

Jin and Kayla scrambled away from the door just in time and Akira exited. They both let out relieved sighs as he passed without so much as glancing at them.

"I should get going." Kayla stood. "I promised one of my old friends that I would call them today, and it's not like I have anything else to do. See you around, Jin."

Jin nodded. "Okay. I'll have my brother call you if anything happens."

"Thanks." She ran off, wondering what she was going to tell her friend when she asked why she had called her so late.
