"So this is where the great Playmaker and his hacker friend hang out." Yui looked around. "Didn't think that it'd be this cozy."

"Do you mean cozy tight, or cozy  like friendly and comfortable?" Kayla asked from her position on the ground next to Sky.

"Both, I guess." She glanced over at Kolter's computers and grinned. "You have that model too?"

"I never had enough money to afford to get the newer one." Kolter shrugged.

"Just so you know, the older model works about ten times faster and more efficiently than the newer one. So you're not really missing out on much."

Kolter smiled. "That's good to know."

"Now that we're all here, why don't we discuss this meeting with the leader of Spriggan that Kayla set up." Roken glanced over at her. "Did you have a place in mind when you said that you were going to send him coordinates for the meeting?"

"I did, actually." She nodded. "The center plaza of Link VRAINS."

Sky stared at her in shock. "No way! All of us are way too recognizable, even you! It would only take seconds before the paparazzi show up."

"Not if we don't use our usual avatars." Kayla shrugged. "General wanted me to come using my old one, and whoever tags along with me can just have a cloak and mask or something. No one would have any reason to suspect who we were."

"That's a good plan, but what about all of the civilians?" Yusaku asked. "If Spriggan tries to pull something, they'll all be at risk."

"Spriggan isn't the type to usually threaten the populace, even if it does mean that it'll give them a leg-up. They want people to see them as saviors, not trouble bringers."

"If something does happen, I made a forced log out code ages ago that only the people who I chose are immune to," Yui jumped in. "So that way everyone in Link VRAINS who could be in danger will be simultaneously logged out, and you all would be able to deal with Spriggan without worrying about putting others in danger."

She and Kayla high-fived.

"Now that that's settle, there's just one more thing." Kolter said.

"What's that?" Kayla asked.

"That General said that you could bring one person with you. Who's it going to be?"

Kayla looked over everyone in the room. Kolter and Yui were out of the question of course. They weren't exactly the best duelists, and besides, she would need them here if something were to happen. Blue Maiden, while she was exceptionally skilled, should be kept as back-up in case Spriggan decided to attack Link VRAINS- again. That left Yusaku and Roken.

"I think that Roken should go with me," She said eventually. "He works with SOL Tech now so he has more authority there than the rest of us, and Yusaku is the better hacker, so he should stay here with the others to hack into their database."

She also really, really, didn't want to see him get hurt.

Yusaku nodded. "Alright. Be careful."

Kayla let out a silent sigh. He had taken that better than she thought he would.

"You all can use the log in rooms here." Kolter pressed a hidden panel on the wall and two doors opened.

Kayla took out her duel disk and Winter jumped in when no one was looking. She and Roken entered the log in rooms, Roken in the red and her in the blue.

Before logging in she sent a program to Yusaku, Theodore, and Sky's duel disks. She allowed a small smile onto her lips.

"INTO THE VRAINS!"
