By the time Yusaku made it back to his house it was past dinner time. He hadn't eaten with Kolter, having forgotten since their computers were working again. They had spent the enter day looking through them, making sure that nothing had been damaged or tampered with. Much to their surprise, everything was exactly the way they had left it, except all their progress on hacking Glacier's account had been deleted.

He switched on the kitchen light, intending to heat up leftovers and instead finding a plate of food on the table with a sticky note next to it.

Yes Yusaku, I know that you didn't eat while you were with Kolter. Also, it's your night to do the dishes

~Kayla

He shook his head. She knew him too well.

He quickly heated up the food in the microwave before sitting down to eat it. He heard music coming from Kayla's room as he ate. That explained why she hadn't come up to see him when he arrived back home. Whenever she was listening to music she tended to be in her own world.

He finished eating and glanced at the sink. Other than Kayla's plate, there wasn't much else to do.

When he finished, he noticed something strange. The music seemed to be on autorepeat, because it was still playing the same song. He frowned and went over to the stairs.

Sitting on her bed he saw Kayla, staring off into space while playing her guitar. Without seeming to notice, she set her pick to the side and started doing what she called 'fingering' the strings while her other hand moved up and down the fretboard, putting pressure in just the right places.(Reader is advised to look up the song Spanish Romance Classic Guitar (Romanza) preformed by Marija Agic on YouTube.)  He vaguely remembered her playing this song when they were younger. She had been so proud when she showed it to him. It had been the first time since the Lost Incident that he allowed himself to feel something.

"You're sounding better," He said.

Kayla jumped. "Oh! You're home! Sorry, I guess I didn't hear you come in..."

"It's fine." He shrugged. "Keep playing. You were doing a really good job."

Kayla blushed, just like she always did when someone mentioned how skilled she was. "I-I'm not that good, really. I messed up twice."

"It sounded good to me." He shrugged again. He hadn't thought that she was paying that much attention to playing. "What were you thinking about? It looked like you had something pretty important on your mind."

"It's nothing." Kayla shook her head. "Just an offer a friend made me."

"What kind of offer."

"Um...they were wondering if I wanted to join their club. It's online, so I would be able to do it from here, but I'm not sure."

"I'm sure that you'll make the right choice."

"Why would you say that?" She asked in surprise.

"You're good at making decisions like this, if I recall." He offered her a smile. "Besides, if it ends up being too much, you can always stop."
