Theodore sighed, closing the door to his room behind himself. It seemed like forever ago now that he lost Flame and Ai was defeated. Half of his mind didn't want to believe that it was possible, while the other half said that he should just be thankful for the time that he had with them.
On his bed his duel disk's screen light up. He picked it up and put it on before glancing at the message. It was from Glacier, and there was a link and instructions telling him how to download it. He hesitated. There was a pretty good chance that this was a trap, but if it wasn't, what did she want to give him?
He followed the instructions and his duel disk's screen went black.
"Of course," He muttered.
Then, to his surprise, a familiar eye appeared on the screen. It blinked and looked around quickly.
"Where am I?" The eye demanded. Then it focused on Theodore, who was staring at it in shock. "Theodore! Is that you?"
"Flame!" His eyes widened. "How- weren't you- what- what's going on?" He collapsed onto his bed.
"I do not know." Flame shook his head. "But I feel like I was torn apart and then stitched back together again. Oh, someone just sent you a message. From a person named Glacier. It says Hope you have a happy reunion and there's a smiley face. That's strange. Unless she's the one who somehow managed to bring me back!"
"Glacier..." He shook his head. "Every time I think I understand her, she reveals something new about herself."
His phone rang and he quickly answered, motioning for Flame to be quiet. "Hello?"
"Theodore, have you checked your duel disk for messages recently?" Kolter asked.
"I have, actually."
"Was there anything out of the usual there?"
"What do you mean, out of the usual?"
"Well," he cleared his throat nervously. "I didn't want to tell you this in case you didn't get a message also, but our icy friend sent Yusaku and Sky a very important AI before logging into Link VRAINS."
"You mean an Ignis?"
"Yes, but don't give away important information over the phone, just in case anyone is listening."
"Okay. So this means that Ai and Aqua are back?"
"Yes, though Ai isn't talking with Yusaku. Glacier had added in her message that he might not because he was feeling guilty about what he had done, which makes sense. Also, I wouldn't tell Varis about it just yet. I get the feeling that she wants to tell him herself."
"Alright." Theodore couldn't kept smiling about what he said next. "Kolter, Flame is back."
