Chapter 10

The hunters' cavern is filled with laughs and chatters, their mixed conversations overlapping altogether. Their weapons hanging on their backs, on the table or their hips. Always ready for an action.

They come prepared as their enemies can attack anytime.

At the very right center of the cavern, sits the big four of hunters.

Hyunjin, the youngest among all of them yet he is known to be the fastest when it comes to killing vampires. He has also grew hate on the dhampirs, as he still see them the same as vampires.

Winwin, a hunter whose a half dhampir. His mother had a relationship with one and they had him before his father died in a fight between the vampires and humans years ago. Hence why one of his eyes is naturally purple while the other is brown. Him being a dhampir breed earned Hyunjin to have a certain hate towards him.

Soyeon, holds a position of a muse, the deadliest and brutal hunter in all of them. She has been obsessed with dead people since the day she accidentally killed a vampire once when she was a child as a self defense. She likes killing, it doesn't matter to her if she had to kill a human, a dhampir or vampire.

And Rowoon, the leader. His father founded and started an organization that will train youth to become a hunter to kill vampires, when he lost his leg and got blind during an encounter with the vampires, he passed his title to him and now continuing what his father started.

They sit quietly, especially Hyunjin, he doesn't like talking. Soyeon drinks her beer with loud chugs and burps, "Ah shit, that was good."

Rowoon only stares at her, wondering how is she not drunk after finishing 3 mugs of beer.

"And I'm still bothered with the way those half breeds kept Lisa's whereabouts a secret, they're hiding something."

He sighs, "We can't force them to tell us, I can't have another conflict with them."

She squints her eyes, disagreeing, "Scared?" she snorts, "Dude, those guys are nothing, with Lisa gone especially." she says.

Winwin looks at her, "What do you mean?"

"I mean, they are weak, now that she is nowhere to be found," she crosses her arms and chuckles, "It's not like she's much of a help anyway, that girl is nowhere near stronger than that blind of a guy she's always with. I don't even know how she became their queen," she fakes a yawn.

Rowoon remains silent.

Then, Hyunjin suddenly speaks, catching them off guard, "I saw her,"

He turns to him, "Lisa?"

The younger hunter faces them, "Midnight today, with Kai near where he lives, she wore a hood, they look in a hurry." he confessed with a straight face.

Winwin pursed his lips, deep in thought.

"You're just telling us that now?" Soyeon questioned.

Hyunjin rolls his eyes, "Be grateful that I did, I wouldn't even bother."

Rowoon taps the table, "Anything suspicious?"

"Her wearing a hood, hiding from people, and meeting with that guy at midnight isn't suspicious enough for you?" Hyunjin collects his notebook that he was writing on from the table, "I'd start an investigation, if I were you," he says before walking out the cavern.

Soyeon scoffs, "That kid-agh. So fucking rude,"

The hunter leader nods and starts thinking that maybe Lisa really is involved in more serious problem than he imagined.
