Chapter 38

"Jumyeon, do something!"

"What are we gonna do?"

That was all that Jumyeon was hearing, the panicked and terrified voices of dhampirs from behind, knowing that there are vampires everywhere and surrounding them with no escape. At times like this, he don't panic, never did but he remains quiet, making plans inside his head.

His eyes darted on Kai, who was being treated by the other dhampirs and Seulgi. He approaches the young boy and checks his temperature by putting a hand on his forehead, "Are you alright?"

Kai coughs, "A b-bit better now..." he answers, the low energy in his voice was evident.

Jumyeon grabs his hand and looks at him in the eyes, "No matter what happens, you stay here, don't ever leave. Okay?" he says then turns to Seulgi, "Keep an eye on him,"

"Of course,"

He then turns to others and tightens his eyepatch, he folded up his sleeves and puts his hands behind his back. The dhampirs and vampires all look at him intently, paying attention.

The sanguine then suddenly steps close to him, he expected her to say something offensive but she only rolled her eyes and stood next to him, "We need a representative too," she mumbles.

Jumyeon just lets her and clears his throat, "As you can see, we are surrounded by the king's army of vampires. These vampires are deadly and they will not show you mercy," he says and sighs, "And with that, we have to make an urgent plan, on how to survive and beat them."

Out of nowhere, Jay hesitantly raised his hand, "Are we going to plan without them?" he asks, referring to Lisa and Jennie, who were outside.

Jisoo then came up next to Rosé, "Why didn't you stop your best friend?"

"Why didn't you stop yours?" the blonde vampire fires back, side eyeing her.

The dhampir chuckles, "Good one,"

Jumyeon lets out a heavy breath, "They won't be left behind, this plan is nothing but a quick one." he says, "As you all know, vampires cannot live under the sun, that was their biggest weakness along with a stab in the heart." he looks at Rosé, to have it approved.

She sighs and rolls her eyes, "Let me remind you that we are immortal unless beheaded, get stabbed or put under the sunlight. But, vampires are more way faster and stronger than dhampirs, and that puts you in a disadvantage," she says and eyed every dhampir before her, "But you also have an advantage against them, us. As long as we're fighting along side each other, we can always go on a head to head against them."

Jumyeon nods his head, agreeing.

"We have dhampirs, a wolf, vampires and we have three pureblood vampires."

Jisoo raised an eyebrow, "Three?" she asked in confusion, "Who's the other-wait..."

They all turn their heads to Yunji, who is still clueless about what's going on around her. She realized everyone was looking at her and quickly hides behind Somi.

"She's a pureblood?!"

The blonde vampire crossed her arms against her chest, "When two pureblood vampires turn a human, the human will either turn into a feral or...be a pureblood, and fortunately, she lived and became a pureblood." she explains.

"Does that make her their child?" a curious dhampir asked.

"Close, but not exactly," she says, "One thing's for sure, she inherits both of Jennie and Lisa's abilities. She's twice as strong as them combined and if Taemin knew it, he will target her and use her."
