Chapter 11 [M]

Lisa drives her car finally back, she just spent a few minutes overlooking a sea and unwind. She doesn't want to get stressed when she's staying under the vampires home. She would feel worse, she could even die.

When she arrives, it's already dark and the people were starting to leave their houses. She parked her car and noticed a small crowd forming by the entrance, there are people trying to see what's going on inside. She could hear different voices, yells or mumbling from far away.

What's going on there?

She steps closer and sees Jay by the door with two male vampires standing behind him. He was calmly trying to talk through these people overlapping his answers and they could barely understand each other.

"Is the queen alright?"

"Did the queen die?"

"Was she killed?"

A thought came in her head, wondering what happened to the queen that made people panic like this. She slowly tries to make her way through the crowd, mumbling excuses. When an old man recognized her, he raises his hand.

He yells, "She killed her!"

Lisa quickly turns and sees multiple eyes glaring at her, she hurriedly ran to Jay's side before they can even hurt her. The guards barricades them as they try to push towards her.

Jay sighs, "Thank god you're here," he says, "I'm gonna lose my mind,"

She gives him a look, "What happened? What are they saying?" she glanced at the people as they continue to shout and cuss at her.

"Murderer!"

"You shouldn't have gone here!"

"Leave!"

He scratches his head and pulled her away from them, "Well, it's Jennie..." he starts.

Lisa looks at him, "What about her?"

"She's...in a situation."

The dhampir's eyebrows furrowed, "What? What situation?" she sounded confused.

Jay groans and puts his hands on his hips, trying to think of ways to explain the current "situation" to Lisa. He heaves a deep breath, "I can't say it," he mumbles.

The blonde woman starts to get annoyed.

"Just-she's uhm, she's...in heat,"

Lisa looks at him darkly and shakes her head, "She's horny," she says casually and sighs, "That wasn't so hard to say, isn't it?" she added, making Jay flush.

The vampire prince bit his lip, "It's not a simple in heat, it was fatal. She could die for real if this continues," he said and grinds his teeth.

He was about to say more when they heard a loud crashing sound from Jennie's room. They heard some shouts and slamming of door, from where they're standing, they see Rosé helping Vernon up from the ground. They also notice some blood splatter on his chest and some scratches on his face.

Jay looks at Lisa, "You should check it out,"

"What does that have to do with me?"

"Maybe you could help,"

The dhampir chuckles lightly, "I don't think saving her life was part of our deal," she says and starts walking away, "I couldn't care less about her," she says before walking out from the scene. She makes her way back to her chamber ignoring the chaos echoing around the whole place.

Jay sighs in defeat, "Shit," he cusses and ran outside Jennie's room, where he sees Somi, Rosé and Vernon looking exhausted and worried as ever.

Somi looks at him, "Anything?" she asks and he shakes his head in return, "Well, breaking news, she's about to die," she pointed at the queen's door.
