She can't possibly do it, they can't.

Walang share ang mama ko sa school na yon and that school has been good to students, marangya man ang buhay o hindi. A lot of people look up to that school, a lot of universities, even the catholic ones wish that they could have what we have. Heavenward university wouldn't take a scholarship from a student who deserves it, right?

Hindi ko tototohanin ang paglalakad no. I now know how to commute because of Noah.

It's 4:30 in the morning, ganon ako katakot masabay sa Miguel na yon.

I'll wait for Noah here.

I stood up as I run at his direction, nagulat naman siya nang nasa harapanan na niya ako.

"Goodmorning!" I said with a big smile on my face.

Ngumiti rin siya. He pat my head before he tucked my hair behind my ears.

I look at him. "Anong gagawin mo doon?"

Nagkibit balikat siya. "Hindi ko din alam, pinatawag lang ako."

You know what's the thing with life? It gives you challenges that you didn't sign up for. It gives you choices that has every unfavorable condition. Minsan wala ka na lang talagang magagawa because you don't have the power to face it the same way it was given to you without your permission.

Why is 'no' an answer when they can do something for you to say yes?

During recess, Noah told me that he need to reach an average of 99 to secure the full scholarship during this school year, that means if he can't he will be liable to pay the last quarter.

I asked if everyone needs to reach that grade, ang sabi niya ay hindi naman daw kaya nagtataka din siya kung bakit may ganoon.

I asked Levi about it and he said that scholarship doesn't work that way.

During lunch, napagdesisyunan kong umuwi. I need to talk to my parents. Alam kong may kinalaman sila dito.

When I got home, sumalubong sa akin ang ina ko na may malaking ngiti sa mga labi.

"Yes it was me. Susuwayin mo pa ba ako?"

Nanghina ang tuhod ko doon. I guess I can be a rebel all I want, I can control my life when they give me a chance but when they want to involve themselves, there's nothing that I can do with that.

They spot my weakness... I can't let Noah suffer.

But I am not giving him up either.

"You're gonna talk to the school about Noah's scholarship, right?" Walang ganang tanong ko.
