"You are right, you will rest at home as per the doctors orders, now let me go and find your clothes and get you checked out" I tell her, getting up and heading for the door.

I know she wants to argue with me, I could see it written over her very expressive face but I wasn't going to listen.  I had no doubt my little bookworm would be back at work tomorrow and not eating properly if I didn't take control.

"Hey Doc" I approached the desk, ignoring the gazes of the nurses as I spoke to him "Maude needs her clothes then I'll take her home"

"Ah Leo, I was just coming back to you, her blood results are back, I have a prescription for her for some vitamins, both her B12 and Iron levels are low" he issues an order over his shoulder and a nurse appears with a bag containing Maude's clothes.

"Will she be okay?" I ask him, feeling worry hit me for someone outside of my family.

"She will be fine, provided she rests, what has she been doing that has her so run down?" he asks and I have to shake my head.

"No idea, I met her for the first time Friday evening, we spoke for a few minutes then she vanished, until she turned up in the building today, but I will find out and make sure she's safe from now on" I tell him honestly and he laughs at me, clapping me on the back.

"You're as bad as your father, take care of her, rest and vitamins and she will soon be right as rain"

"Thanks Doc, any problems I will give you a call" I grin before returning to her.

She's sitting on the edge of the bed looking worried when I enter, passing her her clothes as her gaze nervously watches me. "Aren't you leaving?" She mutters out and I grin at her.
"I'll wait outside for you, call me if you need anything", her only response a frustrated glare at me.

I lean against the wall, knowing I can hear her if she calls out. Ignoring the nurses who gaze at me as they pass, I pull my phone out of my pocket. Not surprised to see a message from Dad. I knew Dom would have reported back to him what had happened at the offices.

I grin as I read his message "Take as much time as you need, but your mother wants to meet her soon"

"What are you laughing at" I turn to see her stood in the doorway glaring at me and I smile back, deciding to be totally honest.

"My parents want to meet you" I tell her, watching her jaw drop in shock.

"What!, How and why, Leo?" she stares up at me.

"I've decided to keep you, so my parents want to meet their future daughter in law" I reach for her hand as she tries to take a step back from me.

"You're nuts!" she's shaking her head looking around to see who would help her but I know no-one would.

"Come on" I grin as I take her hand in mine and start to guide her towards the doors. Ignoring her slight resistance I give a little tug and grin as she finally follows, muttering at my side about pushy men getting what they deserve.

She baulks as I guide her to my car but I remind her the doctor said she must rest and not stress and as she settles into the seat she gives me her address. I grin and start the car, turning out of the car park towards home... my home.

I can feel her gaze on me and turn to check, her eyes holding mine for a second before I look back at the road. "You're not what I expected" she says into the silence.

"In what way?" I ask intrigued, wondering what she would tell me, would she be blunt, ask directly or edge around the subject.

"I googled you, after we met. My colleague Katherine was very excited about you being at the auction. All the women were watching you, everyone wanted to talk to you. I had heard of your family... people gossip" she pauses. "Are you mafia?"
