The Deerings were dead, Roy, Sophia and her family and a whole lot of other Cartel members, I would guess, but didn't know how to ask. Luca, Leo and Dom had returned to us all wearing clean clothing, freshly showered but the split knuckles didn't hide the fact they had been in a fight.

Whilst they had been gone, Maude and I had sat with Rowan who had done her best to keep our minds occupied, eventually sharing her story of how she had met Luca. I had laughed as some of her story as it had reminded me of how Dom was with me and Rowan had agreed.

Just after lunch we had had a bit of a scare when Maude rushed off and was sick. When she had told Rowan it was probably just a bug and she had been feeling all right after and that it had happened a couple of times, Rowan had danced with glee, making both Maude and I realise it could be something else. Rowan had asked lots of questions and finally Maude had said "I might be pregnant!" Looking so shocked both of us had laughed at her.

If we hadn't of been on lock down then I am sure Rowan would have whisked us off to a doctor's appointment. She has told us about Blaise, her niece Viridian's son and Maude had promised as soon as we were clear from lock down she would get a test, after telling Leo first.

"Are you okay?" I ask Dom, going into his arms and feeling relief at knowing he was back with me.
His gaze searches mine and i know he is deciding just how much to tell me.  "There is no more problem, the Cartel are dead or have cleared out. Both you and Maude are safe. We have made sure the evidence will be found to clear you name of all previous charges and for Joel to be recognised as trying to help" I lean into him, his words giving me comfort I hadn't realised I needed.
"I love you" I whisper up at him and enjoy the flare of heat in his eyes before he leans down to kiss me.
"I love you too baby" he holds me tight in his arms, both of us pulling back to look over to Leo who's sudden shout had made us jump.

"Really?" His voice carries across the room. He drops to his knee's in front of her, his hand is on Maude's stomach as he smiles up at her.
"Maybe, possibly, it still could be a bug..." she tells him but she too is smiling as he leans in to whisper to her stomach.
"Hello baby..."

The round of congratulations starts and we all laugh as Maude looks first bemused and then smacks at Leo as he tries to make her sit and rest. Fussing around her.  I catch Rowan issuing orders out of the side of my eye and she send me a rueful glance.  I know she has just arranged for either a test or a doctor, or both to be delivered to confirm what we suspect.

I lean into Dom's side and let the warmth of him fill my senses, smiling at the love that is obvious between all members of the family including Maude who is knew had felt alone for a long time after her parents had died and for some time before it too.

"That will be us one day" Dom murmurs into my ear and I shiver in reaction to his closeness, his words painting a picture of a future.
"You want babies?" I ask softly.
"I want babies with you, as many as you'll give me" he tells me, turning me into his body and holding me close.
"Want to escape and start working on them" I tease back and flush as heat lights up his eyes.
"God yes" he growls, lifting me up into his arms, shouting over his shoulder. At the end of dinner, Rowan handed Maude a wrapped box and we all chuckled as she blushed ripping it open in time for Leo to drag her out of the room excitedly. We could hear her complaining teasingly as she followed him down the hall to the cloakroom.
"How long does it take?" Luca asks showing his own excitement, as Rowan tells him three minutes. I laugh as all our eyes go to the clock but we didn't need it, Leo's whoop of joy is enough to tell us their news and from nowhere the staff produced champagne for us to toast them and sparkling juice for Maude who had returned to the table, her hand held by a grinning Leo, who could seem to stop touching her.

Luca raised his glass. "To family, We are blessed our sons found wonderful women and now with the next generation coming, I hope for health, peace and prosperity for you all"
"Here her and to babies, the first of many I hope for both of you" Rowan added making us all laugh.
