That Bad Man - 13. Dom

She's beautiful.
I watch her walk down the aisle in my parent's garden and smile at the vision coming towards me, I can't tear my eyes away from hers.  My family and our friends looking on as she finally becomes mine legally.
Maude had walked down the aisle first as Mabel's, maid of honour, forgoing any bridesmaids and Leo had stood at my side, darting forward to kiss her as she had reached us, causing everyone to laugh as she scolded him, but I got it, I would have done the same if our roles had been reversed.
Mum and Mabel had got everything organised in just a month, I think it would have been quicker if Mabel had had her way but we had wanted to make sure there was no blowback from dealing with the cartel and Mum wanted the family priest to preside and this had been the first weekend he was free.
Dad had offered to walk her down the aisle but she had turned him down saying she needed to do this, she was giving herself to me, no one else.
Mum had tried last night to say she had to sleep away from me but we had both rejected that, even Leo had laughed at the suggestion, knowing I was as ties to Mabel's side as he was to Maude. Then her hand was in mine, and the service began...
We used traditional vows and I know we said them to get to the 'I do' moment, but it was a blur, all I could focus on was she said 'I do', I said 'I do' and that was it she was MINE!
I barely heard 'you may now kiss your bride' before my lips claimed hers and the family cheered behind us. Catcalling loudest from Viridian and her harem but I didn't care, I had got my girl.

Viri had met Mabel a week before when Mum had thrown a family party to get everyone's news out there, Maude's pregnancy had been confirmed by the Doctor, Viridian had come with news of her own, she was expecting again, making her husbands very smug. Seeing Mabel with baby Blaise in her arms had made me realise how much I wanted a mini me of my Mabel, so we were working on it, every chance we got.

We glided through the reception, and then it was time for us to leave, Mabel hugging mum, blushing as Maude handed her a gift bag and Leo patting me on the back and we were off.
Mabel had told me of a few places she had dreamed of visiting and with Maude's help I had booked us a tour of Europe that would allow her to see it all. 

Leo and Dad were covering for my work and Maude and Mum were keeping an eyes on some renovations I was having done at home while we were away. 

The honeymoon was wonderful and Mabel had found a camera packed in ours babes at our first stop, since then she had taken hundreds of photos of us, our travels and things that capture her imagination.  She had thanked me but I had confessed it wasn't me, we suspected Mum and would as on our return.  Whoever did it, it would compliment the surprise waiting for her at home on our return.

'It's done' The text came through the day before we were due to fly home and I grinned, excited for her to see her surprise.  On the journey back home she had commented i was acting strange and I had admitted I had a surprise for her at home but had managed to keep what it was quiet.

When we finally reached our home, I found a blindfold left on the hall table, lifting it to show her and she laughed nervously "You've had a red room put in?"
"A what?" Then it clicks what she means and I chuckle.
"No, but I will if you want one" she blushes at my words, her eyes widening as i approach and raise the blindfold. "May I?" I ask and she nods, standing patiently as i tie it in place.
"No peeking" I tell her and guide her upstairs and along to her surprise, moving her to stand in front of the double doors.  "Damn I hadn't thought this through, take it off, we don't need it" I tell her and help her lift it free.
"This is for you to follow your dreams" I tell her and open the doors for her to step inside, my gaze staying on her face as she takes it in, wonder and awe, then tears...
"Please tell me they are tears of joy" I beg, pulling her into my arms and kissing her.

"They are, it's wonderful, so light, Oh Dom, I can paint again, I'm so happy" she whispers into my chest where her head is resting.
I grinned and guided her further inside, "I got some things but didn't know what you needed, Uncle Gus suggested some stuff you would definitely need and he has offered any help you want, he has a few connections" I tell her and she laughs nervously. When she first me Uncle Gus she was starstruck, she knew who he was and all about his art works, Viri had found it funny and teased her dad about being a star but in reality he was and his offer to help Mabel was priceless for her and I would make sure she took every opportunity offered to her.

"Have I told you today how much I love you" she smiles up at me and I shake my head.
"Not yet but I know, here" I hold her hand over my heart "And I love you too baby"

I wave my free hand around us. "This is the beginning of our life together and I will do everything to make sure you have all your dreams and wishes come true"

"Forever" she whispers
"Forever" I agree.
