“Miss…..Miss….Miss” My eyes fluttered open to see Humble at the bed side. My eyes suddenly widened and I sat straight up in bed.

“What time is it?” I blurted at Humble, he laughed at my expression and I gave him a weird look.

“Miss doesn’t go to school for another three hours. Humble just wanted to make sure miss knew that her purse came in. Master said he picked it up from the orphanage” This is the most I have ever heard Humble talk.

“Oh. Thanks, Humble” I smiled and he nodded and left my room

I stretched my arms and legs out. Then, I got out of bed and shuffled to my closet. I flipped through all of the out fits for more than 15 minutes until I settled on a white tee shirt with teal shorts and a grey scarf. I picked up the purse that I had left at the orphanage and found my old IPod shuffle, which was the only gift I’ve ever gotten from Miss Helen. I put it back and then I head down stairs.

Humble is there to greet me again with a tray of food for breakfast. I take the tray and thank him before I go to sit on the couch with Quirrell. I reframe from asking him about last night with the mysterious voice. I also refrain from telling him about the stone. I think a rock that appears and disappears suddenly should remain confidential.

“Are you excited to be going to Hogwarts today?” Quirrell asked

“Believe me. I’m screaming with excitement on the inside” I nodded fastly before I start eating my breakfast.

“I’m glad” He meekly replied. I don’t know what it is, but he seems to be acting different. He’s acting like someone is going to kill him if he speaks at a louder volume than me.

We sat in a tense silence for about half an hour with me finishing my breakfast staring weirdly at Quirrell and him never daring to look me in the eyes. He seemed like something else was on his mind, or more like he was acting like someone was watching him..

I decided to do my very best this year at Hogwarts. I wanted to get all As or Good Jobs or whatever they give out there. Maybe I’ll ask Ron when I meet him on the train. Speaking of which, what train in its right mind would go to a school of wizardry. What if someone were to happen to get on that train? They would get pretty suspicious.

I used this question as a silence breaker. “What train am I supposed to get on again?”

“The train at platform nine and three quarters” He replied weakly

“Nine and three quarters?” I asked, puzzled

“Yes” He nodded once, just like Humble does

“Is there really such a thing as platform nine and three quarters?” I couldn’t tell if Quirrell was pulling my tail or not, he sat there so emotionlessly.

“Yes” He nodded once again

I was about to burst. He wouldn’t look at me in the slightest and it felt really hurtful. It felt like I was getting no respect from him at all. But before I did burst out at him, Humble came in and got my attention.

“Miss, Mistress M-“I was so close to hear her last name but Humble stopped. “Mistress is outside in the garden and would like to speak with young Miss”

“Alright. Thank you, Humble” He nodded once and left. I got up from my chair, setting my tray to the side, and started to walk out, but before I left, I slightly glared at Quirrell’s turban. Then I left.

It was the first time I would be in the garden since my only wondering around was to the rooms up stairs. I should really at least see the dining room when I get back. Narcissa said it was quite a site.
