Chapter 29

"How many did you eat?" I asked and rubbed Georges back as he emptied his stomach outside on the grounds. It would probably freeze soon.

"I lost track after forty" He managed to get out

"Oh, honey" I rubbed his back more. He seemed to have got it all out.

"I'm sorry" He whispered

"It's ok" I laughed. "It's not like you got any on my dress"

"Yeah" He chuckled hoarsely

"Are you going to be ok to get to the Hospital wing?"

"I'll be fine" He nodded and stood up. I did the same and put my hand on his arm.

"I hope you feel better" I whispered and watched him walk off. I went back inside and peaked into the Great Hall. Everyone was dancing with their partners. I sighed and sat in the entrance hall where no one was. I listened to the music and hummed along to some of the songs.

I couldn't complain about tonight. It wouldn't have been any better if I had done it any differently. I just closed my eyes and let the soft music flow through me. That was, until I heard a song start playing that I hadn't heard in while. A very familiar song. It was called Kiss from a Rose, but it was a muggle song. Why was it playing?

"May I have this dance?" I looked up to see someone who I definitely wasn't expecting. Draco Malfoy had his hand outstretched to me.

Take his hand!

No don't!

I took his hand and he pulled me to my feet. He placed a hand at my waist and held out the other while my right was on his shoulder. He smirked but I just stared blankly at him, in almost a trans. I didn't even notice when we started dancing. He started to move his lips to the words.

"You know this song?" I asked dumbly. He pulled something out of his pocket. It was my IPod. I tried to hide a smile as we kept dancing.

"I didn't get a chance to tell you how beautiful you look" He said quietly

"Where's Pansy?" I asked

"I gave you a compliment. The least you could do is say thank you"

"Where's Pansy?" I repeated

"She left"

"Why?"

"She didn't like me staring at you all night" He stated simply

"What?" I blushed

Don't blush!

Blushing is completely natural

Go away!

"Don't act dumb, Victoria. You know very well how I feel about you" Draco did that weird smile that gave my butterflies.

"I do?"

I sound like an idiot

"I don't know? Do you?" He smiled

"Um...um...I...um"

"Nervous?" he chuckled

"No" I didn't sound confident at all

"Really?" I could feel his warm breath. Our noses were almost touching

"Um...I don't know"

My brain is fried

"Do I make you nervous, Victoria?" Draco whispered with an amused tone

"No" I stuttered

"I think I do"
