“Victoria, if you’re listening, I want to say that I’m sorry for doubting your judgment. You were right about everything and you trusted your heart. I know your mother would be so proud of you. She always talked about having a child who would go on to help the greater good of the world. I know what she was talking about now. And like her, I’m proud of you. I thought I would come and say goodbye before I left, but I don’t think it will be the last time we see each other. Good bye, Victoria” I felt warm lips on my cheek. I slowly opened my eyes to see Professor Lupin starting to walk away.

I tried to sit up but a sharp pain kept me down. I breathed hard and clutched my side. He heard and rushed to my side. He seemed to wave to someone and tons of people crowded around me. I stared at everyone with shock.

“Wow. Your unconscious for a little while and everyone thinks you came back to life” I chuckled and so did everyone else. I looked to Lupin and became sad. “You’re leaving?”

“I’m afraid so, but I promise that it won’t be the last time we see each other”

“Alright, alright! No need to crowd around her! She needs air! One visitor at a time!” Madam Pomfrey shooed away my classmates and Hermione pushed her way up to the front. I smiled brightly at her. For some reason, it felt like I hadn’t seen anyone in ages. “Victoria, what is the last thing you remember?”

“Um…” I thought hard. “Chasing P- er- Scabbers around on the grounds”

“Do you know how you got into the forbidden forest?”

I thought about it hard

“I don’t remember going into the forbidden forest” I answered truthfully. Everything after chasing Peter Pettigrew on the grounds was a blur.

“Alright. Miss Granger will be the first visitor!” Madam Pomfrey herded the others away from me to give us privacy.

“So you honestly don’t remember anything after that?” Hermione asked

“No, I don’t. Do you remember?”

“All I saw was Peter leading you into the forest, but when they found you and when they were carrying you threw the halls…it was horrible. No one said a word. It was like a funeral. Malfoy didn’t even seem the slightest bit cocky in his usual”

“Wow. Why was everyone like that?”

“You looked like a pack of grizzly bears attacked you! You were soaked in blood and looked ready to die there in Hagrid’s arms!” Hermione exclaimed. “Madam Pomfrey said it might have been several months before you woke up. Maybe even a year. Everyone kept visiting you. Even Malfoy came to peak at your health. Cedric came the most though”

“Oh my gosh” I whispered. “What about Sirius?”

“We helped him escape from being kissed by the dementors. He’s still wanted, but he is a little closer to freedom. He said that he wanted to say he will miss you very much”

“I think I’ll miss him too”

“He also says that that hair pin” She gestured to it. “-was your mum’s”

“He was the one who gave it to me, wasn’t he? Well, there’s one mystery solved

“Quite a year it’s been, huh?” She laughed

“It’s actually starting to feel normal”

“Yeah”

“I just wish there would be one year where I wouldn’t pass out!”

“Hey, Southway!” I heard Draco yell from behind me. I turned and dropped my suit cases. Hermione stood with me and an odd sort of protective way but out of earshot. Draco strode up to me with a huge smirk on his face.
