I felt horrible and I looked the same. This thing was eating me from the inside out, especially every time I saw Harry though he is keeping a bit of a distance because of the jealousy he has since I saw his parents in my dream. But I needed to tell someone it’s just I had no idea who I could that wouldn’t put me straight in Azkaban.

“She keeps looking worse and worse” Harry whispered

“She hasn’t been able to sleep well. She keeps waking up screaming in the middle of the night and sometimes she doesn’t even try to fall asleep. She just sits in her bed, rocking herself back in forth. I’ve stopped bothering to ask her if she’s all right because she just gets a really sarcastic face on and gets really mad” Hermione explained

“She looks like a ghost” Ron admitted

“Sometimes she won’t even look at me”

“Maybe she needs to talk to someone that she trusts” Hermione offered

“You’d think she would trust us by now” Ron said bitterly

“Well, RON, maybe she’s going through something that she knows we wouldn’t understand” Hermione scolded

“What wouldn’t we understand?” He asked

I blocked out the rest of the conversation since I knew it would just be them fighting and finished my breakfast.

Maybe Hermione was right. Maybe I did need to talk to someone I trusted. But who do I trust enough with this.

Sirius is out of the picture. My heart panged a bit

I can’t get in contact with Lupin. Another one down

A mom would be nice to have about now but that’s out

My father is the problem

Draco is busy with whatever it is he’s doing. He still won’t tell me about it

Who else do I…well yes, there is one, but he’s always gone. If I wanted to talk to him, I’d have to be patient. I’d have to wait for him to come and I’d have to do anything to let him know it’s important, but I will do whatever it takes.

I need to talk to Dumbledore.

The wait didn’t take quite as long as I thought it would. I had seen Harry go in and decided to wait by the gargoyle for him to leave. The gargoyle leapt aside and Harry descended down the stairs. He caught one glimpse of me and became confused.

“Why are you here?”

“I need to talk to Dumbledore” I said simply

“What about?”

“Nothing for you to know”

“Well if it’s about your boyfriend then I think it is for me to know” Harry furrowed his eyebrows

“It isn’t about Draco because there’s nothing going on with him” It hurt me to lie to him

“Then what?”

“I’m done talking about this Harry” I said and hopped onto the staircase before the gargoyle blocked my path. I came to the door of Dumbledore’s office and knocked softly.

“Come in, Victoria” A calm voice sounded from inside. My eyes stung, knowing what I was about to admit but I held them back and opened the door.

“Hello, Professor” I said and was surprised at the crack in my voice

“Go on and sit here” He gestured to a chair on the opposite side of his desk. I did so and froze, not knowing how to start. “Many teachers have been informing me that you have something of great importance to tell me”
