Harry and I spent the next few days finding new hiding places from Lockhart who seemed to have taken a special interest in me since my outburst in class.

I was sitting in the stadium with Ron and Hermione watching Harry just begin to practice. Suddenly, a bunch of green robes (Slytherins) came onto the field. The Gryffindor team swooped down to meet them. One look shared by Ron, Hermione, and I set us down to the field in a hurry.

"What's happening" Ron asked. "Why aren't you playing? And what's he doing here?" Ron asked nastily looking at someone in particular in the Slytherin team's crowd. Draco, who was holding a broom in his hand, was that someone.

"I'm the new Slytherin seeker, Weasley. Everyone's just been admiring the brooms my father bought for the team" Draco smirked and Ron gasped at their brooms

"What's so special about those brooms?" I asked honestly and everyone turned to look at me. Ron shook his head at me and I shut my mouth

"They're the latest model" He whispered

"Good, aren't they? But I'm sure the Gryffindor team can raise some gold and get new brooms too. Maybe you can raffle off those Cleansweep Fives. I expect a museum would bid for them" Draco smirked and all the Slytherins laughed

"At least no one on the Gryffindor team had to buy their way in. They got in on pure talent" Hermione said

"No one asked your opinion, you filthy little Mudblood" and the bomb dropped. People gasped with wide eyes and shouts were hollered and punches were thrown. It all ended though as Ron pulled out his tainted wand and flicked it at Draco, but the flash of green hit him instead. He flew back and I gasped

"Ron! Ron! Are you ok?" Hermione and I ran to him. Instead of answering, Ron gave out several slugs from his stomach. The site made me want to throw up too, but I turned angrily to the howling Slytherin. I stomped toward them and once I was close enough, I pointed my wand between Draco's eyes at the bridge of his nose. He stopped laughing and pointed his own wand at my neck. We stayed glaring at each other until arms wrapped around me and pulled me away from him. I glared at Draco as I was carried off.

"We don't need you loosing points, Victoria" Oliver said briskly

"I don't need you telling me that you don't need me when I don't need you needing me" I said as he dropped me to the ground

"What?" He cocked his head to the side

"No time to explain, I have to go to Hagrid" I yelled and ran off catching up with my friends. Once I got Hagrid's hut, Fang came running at me. He made a U turn and nudged me towards Hagrid's open door. I entered and Ron was bent over a large copper bucket.

"Who was he tryin' ter curse?" Hagrid asked

"Malfoy called Hermione something. It must've been really bad because everyone went wild" Harry explained

"It was bad. Malfoy called her a Mudblood, Hagrid-"Ron started but out came more slugs. Hagrid gasped but Hermione confirmed that he did but she didn't know what it means. Ron explained the meaning and I couldn't believe it. It was a very prejudice thing to say.

Mudblood.

What horror.

It was close to the beginning of October when I was sitting out on the steps after class with Ron and Hermione on either side of me. Harry was with Madam Pomfrey, getting some cold medicine.

"Are you both ready for the quiz tomorrow, and by you two, I mean you, Ron" Hermione blinked at us. Hermione was very keen on picking things up, and unfortunately for me, that means she can automatically sense what my feelings are and how I'm doing, just by my small actions. That also means that she knows if I know an answer or not. And that means that she knows that I know every answer, but don't ever raise my hand.
