“Are you sure you’re not feeling sick” Asked Hermione warily

“I’m sure that I don’t feel sick” I said half-heartedly and stuffing a piece of toast into my mouth

I heard the familiar swooshing of the owls and then looked up for Earl. Sure enough, there he was with a letter. He landed atop my head so I shook it to get him off. He landed on the table without ruining my breakfast so I pet his head he hooted thankfully and I picked off the letter and opened it.

Then I began reading the unfamiliar handwriting.

Dear Daughter,

I know that I have never written to you before and I am sorry for this. I wish not to use you’re real name in this letter just for security, but I feel you should be informed now of the importance of this letter and that it gets to you. The content in this message mustn’t be shared with anyone and I am very stressful about this making it to you. If you have this letter then, right now, send your owl back to me without a letter.

I looked to Earl and told him to go back to my father, he flew off.

Now, onto the more important things. There is a secret that I have been keeping from you and I want you to know that at any cost, I still care you are my daughter. You are mine and I just want you to know the truth. I felt that now was the best time. My name is…

I reread it over and over, not believing my eyes. My breath hitched and then stopped. I felt as though I was going to throw up a cow. My eyes stung so much that it was becoming hard to see. I blinked my vision clear and began breathing slowly as I read the last sentence once more, just to make sure I was not mistaken, though I was hoping so dearly that I was.

My name is Tom Marvolo Riddle, and I am Lord Voldemort.

I apologize for the bluntness but it is really the only way of telling you. To reassure you that this is in fact not a hoax, I will have Narcissa sign the back.

I shouldn’t have flipped it over. I should have just burned the letter but I was foolish and confused so I did look on that back.

I nearly wept at the sight of undoubtedly Narcissa’s signature. Clear and clean as always.

I wanted to scream but I refrained since many people were already staring at my teary eyes. So, I stood up calmly and walked from the great Hall. I froze once I was out of sight from everyone. I felt my stomach lurch but I didn’t need to puke.

I needed to run

And that’s exactly what I did

I ran with tears blurring my vision and yet still managed to not bump into a single thing or person though this wasn’t my first priority. I actually had no idea where I was going but when I made it outside I had a good idea that I was trying to get to the grounds. Then, I spotted a tall figure moving below me, down the hill. Without thinking, I rushed down like a bullet.

I knew the tall figure was Draco because I wouldn’t nearly kill myself by running down a hill for just anyone. Draco saw me coming and looked concerned and I became a little hysterical. I almost crashed into him but he caught me by grabbed my elbows as I used his to keep myself steady, accidentally pushing up his sleeves.

“Draco! It’s horrible! I can’t- I’m his-He is!” It felt hard to utter a coherent sentence.

“What is it? What’s going on?”

“He’s my-I don’t-Why did-But I!” I stuttered painfully

“Victoria, calm down”

“Why is-I just-He can’t-He is!” I cried, looking around me wildly.
