Sahir pushed open the door, dragging Kori's unconscious body into the house and putting her on the couch.

"Liam, no one followed us, did they?" Sahir shouted to the open door.

"No I don't sense anyone coming, I checked the path leading up to here and the approximate woods." Liam closed the door behind him.

"Nice place you got here " he whistled.

"Are you sure no one followed us?" Sahir asked again, pushing Kori's hair around to check for a wound.

"Yes, I projected my soul and checked," Liam reassured him.

"What's going on?" A voice called down the stairs.

"Kori's hurt," Sahir yelled back, getting into position in front of her. "Curatio."

Laura came down as the pearlescent golden light lightly filled the room. She looked over at Liam who waved and smiled.

"What's going on?" John asked, fixing his shorts. "You could have at least unti-" he paused as he saw Liam.

"Sahir is healing Kori." Liam pointed at the boy by the couch. "She got hit by a car."

"What?" John asked, stepping in front of his wife. "How?"

"Some magic welding freak threw it at her." Liam scoffed. "Crazy right."

"Who are you?" Laura asked as John monitored Sahir's healing.

"My name is Liam, I'm an Atalante." He smiled.

Laura nodded, wrapping her robe closer to her. "Well then." She muttered.

Sahir put his hands down, sighing as Kori shifted, her eyes fluttering open.

"What the hell?" He asked as she sat up.

"Why are you yelling?" Kori muttered holding her head.

"Why would you just run in like that you could've died?" Sahir watched her as she got up.

"It's none of your business!" She snapped, walking past everyone and towards the steps.

Sahir frowned as he felt a gust of anger, inhaling to settle himself.

"Anyway." John looked at Liam. "Who are you?"

"I'm not introducing myself again." He scoffed, taking a seat on the couch.

Sahir got off the floor, sitting next to Liam. "What did you do back there?"

"What do you mean?" Liam cocked his head to the side.

"When you grabbed my hand, I felt stronger than I ever felt." Sahir looked down at his palm.

"Oh. That." Liam leaned back. "It's love." He snickered, grabbing Sahir's hand.

"Liam," Sahir said with a sigh, pulling his hand away.

"I put my soul energy into you to enhance your power, as well as draw from you to enhance my own." Liam shrugged. "It's like a magnifying glass, I mixed our power for the attack."

Sahir nodded slowly, his eyes trailing from his hands to the boy. "So you're a witch too?"

"Atalante." Liam corrected him.

"What's that exactly?" Sahir asked as the television turned on.

"They're the first humans, direct descendants of Amoris." John sighed as he took a seat on the loveseat nearby.

Sahir turned to John and then back at Liam. "So like... a great-grandchild?"

"More like multiplying that by a million." Liam laughed. "Constant breeding caused our powers to lose their strength but we're still strong enough to use actual magic."
